"Prices for membership are really high. They aren't even all inclusive. You still have to pay to have parties and stuff there."
"I know the family who owns this oldest son and they are sooo sweet. They have let us have our Band Water Day there for the last 2 years."
"We just completed our swim lessons for my 4 year old Gabriel. This was our third year. He has always loved going. This year was different. Our instructor Hunter clearly hasn’t worked with young children or if he has he sucks at it. Not only was he unprofessional showing up the first day right at 9. The second day was rainy and waited til 9 to call to tell me it was canceled and the 3rd day he was 7 mins late. We are supposed to do a make up day but we will not be attending. He also tried to have us do a 2 hour session on my son’s last day last week during Hunter’s next lesson to try and rush the make up day so he wouldn’t have to come July 5. I don’t think so, we paid for a private lesson and we would have been infringing on the kids lesson after us. This Isn’t what I was most dissatisfied in. My son has never cried at a lesson until this year. Also when we’d finish I asked him if he had fun and his answer was only “kinda”. This isn’t how it should be. Some of biggest complaints are, when Hunter would try to get my son to float on his back he would put his hand under his chin holding his head in the water forcibly. My son obviously hated that and said he was choking him. He wasn’t choking him, but that’s what my son felt like he was doing. Resulting in my son eventually crying because it was scaring him. When my son wouldn’t listen to the instructor, he would go under the water, Hunter then made Gabriel’s punishment dunking and told him “ok I’m gonna start dunking you for that”, he would count to 3 and pushing him under 4 or 5 times in row, barely giving my son time to catch his breath in between. Ultimately making him cry each time because of getting water in his throat and nose. Then Hunter moved on to the ring dives, which my son has always enjoyed, but didn’t like that Hunter would shove him under and began to cry, Hunter proceeded to try and get him to continue, you would think if the child is crying and running to me you might want to move on to the next activity. Because he is only creating a negative connotation to the ring dive and therefore my son hates it now. The next thing was knee diving with no mat on the side of the pool. So my son’s knees were getting scraped. My son at this point was done with the lesson and didn’t want to dive, he did it a few times forced and was crying and shivering because of the weather and temperature of pool. Hunter just kept on for 20 minutes even at one point saying to me he was “traumatizing my son of the water.” Obviously if a child is really resisting then you should try another activity and go back to this one when he is not upset. Hunter lacks compassion and obviously doesn’t like to work with small children. He hardly ever used any positive reinforcement when my son would swim accordingly. Gabriel does know how to swim we just wanted him to get better. Now he may be scared the next time we swim because of Hunter’s lack of experience with children. We are extremely disappointed and will not be returning and we will definitely not recommend the swim club to others anymore. Hunter should not be working with children period. We are about to have a second child and were planning on her taking lessons there but now we definitely will send her somewhere else. Also the owner called us to try and redeem her business to give us name up lessons this week and then did not show up for the lessons. Never in my life have I experienced this level of unprofessionalism."
"Very quiet and Serene place to be I enjoyed my visit there"
"Instructors are good with the children. Could be a bit more structured, but the kids seem to pick up the basics well from how they teach. They work well with children who are apprehensive of being in the pool."
