"Used this park to do a seafood bbq... I'm from out of town and this was definitely a great place to unwind and cook some food. They have camping spots for tents and campers, plus cabin rentals. I saw the cabins and they look really nice from the outside and they are situated over the water. You can dock a boat or fish from them. Thinking bout renting one and having a family gathering for Thanksgiving."
"Quiet nights this close to New Orleans. We were 20 mins from downtown. The campsite pads are a little tight for bigger rigs, but they are spaced apart. No sewer, but they do have a dump station. Water and electricity were good. We didn't use the showers, but they looked clean and well kept. While we were there, we took a carriage ride tour around the French Quarter from Royal Carriages. I would recommend this campground for visiting NOLA"
"Recently stayed at the rv campgrounds. Very quiet due to off-season. Appears some campers are long term. Park crew are fantastic. Park itself is very large, wave pool and in water cabins. Boat ramp seems to be well used. Very clean grounds. However, the roads are in very poor shape and the washrooms and laundry need significant upkeep. Close to New Orleans and lots of local shopping."
"Wow!! Beautiful park! The cabins are literally floating on the water! The camp ground was Betty nice with walking paths all around, friendly neighbors and kind staff. The drive to New Orleans was only about 20 minutes, and our swamp tour was right next door! Really great experience."
"I had a great time riding through Bayou Segnette State Park. ( The word Segnette means BLESSED) means It cost $3 per person in the car for a Drive Thru.My daughter from Hawaii is a Navy Veteran so it was free for us 4 people. It was a nice , nature Adventure! I was told by the nice young man who checked us in The Big Cabins had to be rebuilt after the Hurricane.Even though they are doing some construction in a certain area. & The pool is closed for now , I still enjoyed the outing today.
