Camp Bow Wow

"Brought my dog here years ago. It’s been a while, so we had to re-interview. Took a minute to get greeted by the front desk attendant, but once she was taken to the back, she was there for maybe 5 minutes before she was brought back to me, saying she was not going to be accepted due to the large amount of dogs for the weekend and she was too anxious. Was scheduled again for Monday, but if i cannot even speak to a manager, i definitely do not want to return! They tried to get a rowdy poodle to interact with my dog, and that didn’t go well. So they brought another “mellow” older dog out that was also very active and that didn’t go so well either. Given that my dog doesn’t know if the human will protect her, that trust isn't established, it’s not far fetched that they would need to get acclimated to the counselors. My dog is almost 9 years old, and personally wish the camp would give older dogs a little bit more time to get acclimated with other dogs before giving up. Also, apparently there isn't management on staff to speak with, and the young lady that i spoke with said they were trained to “read dogs minds”. Which made me cackle so hard, because how can you read anyone’s mind. But i digress! Was told there was over 100 dogs at the baton rouge location today and at 6pm still had over 60 dogs, which is another reason why the interview didn't work. So if the facility is over crowded, seems like your dog will be neglected because they can’t control that many pets. This facility does not care about senior dogs!"
