"I can’t begin to thank Clark Community Service enough for what they have done for me. The kind, caring, open nature of the staff is overwhelmingly positive. The intake was so thorough and every member is such an active, compassionate listener. At 35 I had been to several psychiatrists, psychologists and talk therapists. These were the first ones who REALLY took the time and patience to listen to me and help me navigate my natural skepticism to medications.I used to have REALLY incredible insurance a few years back and even those psychs were NOTHING compared to the care I have received here. I was let down by so many I had abandoned the idea of psych care at all. I got to the point where my PTSD was so debilitating I was unable to work or leave the house. I began receiving Medicaid and had some supportive friends bring me here and help me get through the tough beginning of this process. We worked together to find solutions that were right for me. I feel respected and cared for at Clark and they were the first Mental Health facility that actually helped me facilitate change into being a productive, functioning STABLE person today! Without them I would likely still be stuck fuming and distrusting of psychologists and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Wallo and the team has quite truly saved my life! I can’t thank them enough. Anyone you know struggling with mental illness please try this place. It is an amazing place for low income individuals struggling to get the help they need."
