"UPDATE! 9/12/22 read PASS this paragraph I love Dr. Teri J. Schwarz, but I absolutely despise talking and dealing with the reception. They are what me rate this lower. I get bad anxiety when having to call them and what adds more to it, I'm told I would be put on hold.... almost EVERY time. That's how unsatisfied I am with them. They always have an attitude and are always ready to be on defense when you ask questions. I just don't get it. Minus reception I love Dr. Schwartz. 9/12/22 Update 1 star - it came to a point where even Dr. Schwartz would let her reception "deal with us" and only wanted to talk to us if we had an appointment.. and it was wrong for them holding prescriptions from my mom who would always go to her appointments and if one missed for her was because she was my late fathers caregiver and they would fee you ALOT and will refuse to give your next prescription WHICH btw we had to pay 15 dollars to go pick it up physically. I'm actually very dissapointed no one from their company has YET to comment on this letting us know it'll get better or they'll do something about it. I will forever stray people away from this practice. Shame on all of you!!"

"I haven’t even gotten to actually see her as a doctor but now I don’t intend to. Her receptionist(s?) are terrible! For an office that deals with many patients that have anxiety they sure do make you jump through hoop. I’ve called 5 times during appropriate hours and my calls have been ignored or put on held for an unreasonable amount of time. Also the weird policies of having to have a “paperwork appointment” and pay up front before your actual appointment and before your insurance pays is ridiculous. Truly makes me think she doesn’t care about patients and people’s mental health AT ALL. Get with the times."

"I have no idea what is up with all these negative reviews. I have been seeing Dr. Schwarz for over 4 years. She is very kind, always has time to listen, and I have never felt rushed. Not to mention she is excellent at what she does. After my previous doctor retired, I randomly picked her from a list of providers my insurance covered, and I couldn't have possibly made a better choice. As for the office staff, I always have my appointment early in the morning (between 8 and 9am), and the same two ladies at the desk couldn't be nicer. I can't speak for possibly other staff that work at different times of the day, but I have never had a single complaint. Lastly, for those giving Dr. Schwarz bad reviews due to the office staff, those reviews would be much better suited for CIFC and not Dr. Schwarz."

"I very much like Dr. Schwarz. She listens to what I have to say and I feel she has my best interest at heart. The staff on the other hand, I agree with everyone else. they are rude and incompetent. I had one of the last appointments and the doctor left early. I show up for my appointment and was told I needed to reschedule. Not a phone call, email, nothing stating that I did not have my appointment that day. I try and be nice because I know that they have a lot on their plates but that was plain and simple, rude and unprofessional! I did not even get an apology. I have also called to make an appointment, was asked if I could hold, and then hung up on. I am updating my review to remove a star. I recently relocated and got new insurance. One of the medications that I was taking was not covered. I called Dr. Schwarz for a medication refill on a generic for the medication she had written for me until I established new care. I was a patient for roughly 2 years and she knew my history, medicines I had tried and did not like due to their side effects. After calling I received no response and my medication ran out. 2 months later I received a script in the mail for a medication that I had told her was one I would never get back on due to its horrible side effects. I could not believe it. I ran out of my medication and dealt with the effects of that and to be sent something so long after and it being what it was I was shocked and could not believe how I had been tossed to the side. My job is why I relocated I did not leave her for another doctor in the city and this is how I was treated. If you do not know yourself and your body I would think about finding someone else. Clearly she did not take into account anything I said about previous medications and dismissed me as quickly as possible. Just sad."

"I've been seeing Dr. Terry Schwartz for over a year now. She's been practicing for a lot of years and it shows. She is always persistent about knowing how you feel and if you are having any side effects. She also knows the right time to change something to a different med or dose to have the most effectiveness. I have never had a problem with the staff, they always communicate clearly and directly. Some are more efficient at their jobs, but no one is perfect and I have always been treated with politeness when I'm there. I do kinda get a sting when all I need is medicine refilled and to get the written script you have to go pick it up and pay like $10 bucks or whatever your insurance is. Which I understand but I also have very little time to make to do an extra trip to Metairie."
