When she left for Calcasieu Oaks I thought it was over for her I'd never see her alive again. Little over two weeks this morning when she walked out our eyes meet she was in a little run to me ."

"My child was here for 13 days. Tara one of the nurses tech spoke to my child very badly. It made her have agitate. They claimed they was going to do an in house investigation. One of the social workers called and stated there techs will be getting additional training. My child had bruises on several parts of her body. Please don’t trust your love ones to this place. They just there to collect a check. This is very sad."

"I was there two days. I spoke to no mental health staff, no discussion of a treatment plan, not even a hint. The techs were excellent; the nursing staff indifferent at best. It’s not all on their shoulders, Western 0aks is clearly understaffed. Western Oaks management is quit obviously more concerned with costs as opposed patient welfare and recovery. A typical new patient’s day begins thus: following in initially evaluation. The client is taken to his/her room, dumped and that’s it, cèst finie for day. The rest of the day was spend in anticipation of (the few and far between smoke breaks—more on that later), television time—children’s programs and inane sit-coms.—and simply staring at the floor. On my first day two groups were scheduled; one took place. It was a child’s game—Pokeno. Looking at the rest of the week’s proved no better. I came here to detox from excessive been drinking. Nothing, absolutely nothing happened therapeutic at your facility. It was a different story altogether at Memorial. I won’t go into details but suffice it io say the treatment was night and date."

"Read reviews...I was there in 2016, This place is not for detox , nore anyone with multiple health or heart issues !! I was in there with mostly people sent their strate out of jail and waiting to get into a half way house or another treatment program. The Psychiatrist and his wife , also a Psychiatrist, would not give me one of my meds, I was experiencing awful withdrawal. I did not want to take meds they prescribed as I had bad reaction to them years ago. The Dr. told me if you don't take what I prescribe, he could hold me 30 days. I took it and 7 hours later had my walking paperwork. I could not contact my own Psychiatrist while in their, and he couldn't help me ?? After I took the med , they wrote on my release file , non compliant to medication. The food was good. The groups were good. Great Staff. My last morning there a patient almost hit me in the head with a chair. They did not make them go to there room or in confinement area. The staff that stopped the patient, who was one of there best Tech's , was let go. That Tech did nothing wrong. However , I could tell most Staff was not trained as a Psych Tech. One Tech kept staring at me and acted rude when I asked for something simole, they also took care of only one patient and watched the patient there whole shift. That facility is not a hospital for people with multi medical issues or eating disorders. It took me 3 days to get prescribed a laxative."

"Went here for suicidal ideation and depression. I have never had such a restful treatment. I am so thankful. This place has amazing employees and quality service. Everyone here is invested in your treatment. It's perfect to get your head straight and start the right path for medications. It feels more like a resort than a hospital. They even let you outside four times a day to smoke or walk around. It's wonderful. They let you shave, also. And the group therapies are great stuff. I love this place, and I will forever recommend it. I think they saved my life."
