Bayou Country Animal Emergency

"Just avoid! My mother was having an emergency with her dog and the first thing he said was FIRST of all it'll be $300 just to come in AND you have to have the card on your person. SO YOURE TELLING ME in THIS day and age I CANT PAY OVER THE PHONE!!?? I live out of state and don't want anything to happen to her baby. It's just rude to hold prices over people like this. WE ALL KNOW EMERGENCY VET CARE IS EXPENSIVE AND WE WILL GLADLY PAY IT!!!"

"I’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about because my experience was 5 ⭐️. First off my usual vets office was closed and EVERY OTHER CLINIC AROUND ‘wasn’t accepting new clients’. I was hesitant bc of the bad reviews but my cat was dying so I called. The dr wasn’t at his office (it was a Saturday) but showed up very promptly and was professional and sympathetic. He was very informative and went over all options and treatments for my cat Butters. He did pre-warn us that the visit will be costly, (as expected for any emergency vet clinic) and it was but I would pay it 10 times over for someone to drop everything they are doing on their day off to rush to their office and help save an inconsolable stranger’s cat. Hopefully I won’t have to but I would absolutely use this clinic again."

"Extremely uninformative and this dude Troy (the vet) knew less about my pups symptoms than a 30 second google search. Happy to take your money and offer absolutely zero medical advice or diagnostics. If he spent more time studying vet diagnostics than collecting pointless LSU memorabilia he might be able to help. He took my whole paycheck for absolutely zero care or suggestions or even a ballpark prognosis. He's a scam and is obviously just making money off of people who love their pets and had no issue showing off how much money he's making off of people and providing zero care. Had no idea what some of the medications were that I asked about for simple appetite stimulant. Kept calling my pup a girl when he is clearly not and obviously didn't listen to any of the symptoms I presented. Could not even read the blood test he conducted correctly. Don't go here he's a scam."

"I called this place on Sunday night and they, like the other comment suggested, only cared about pay. I told them I was calling from Thibodaux so they said “meet at the Thibodaux office.” Turns out the Thibodaux office is a location with a whole different name and is listed as closed on google. The person I was on the phone with acted like I was stupid for not knowing that."
