"It was just OK. The place was not well maintained. The mosquitoes about carried me away."
"Good area to catch up on history of the area and it’s significance thru several wars. Also can fish and launch boats here."
"Pretty place, has some picnic areas, but it's a small park. There is a reasonable fee per vehicle, but I was surprised that being a State park holder my pass did not get us in for free with the pass. It says on the sign it's a State park so the pass should had gotten us in free. If it's not a State park, then the sign is not telling the truth. This is the reason for my low grade. Fix this error State of Texas please!"
"Beautiful, clean and manicured park! Very interesting history and well displayed. Camp host met us and was very pleasant and thanked us for coming. If you love watching port activity its a definite place to catch boats moving in and out. A fascinating view to see their sizes! There were also many fishing and catching here! There is no entrance fee but worth it to give a nice donation at the gate, to keep this historical spot open!"
"This was our first visit to this park and we loved it! The parkgrounds were very clean. Walked around reading about all the history that happened here. One really interesting thing available here, there is a number you can call for a self guided tour of the park. We learned a lot and was very interesting. Definitely coming back for another visit."
