"My husband had a heart attack on November 19th. We went to BR General on Hwy 73 in Prairieville, LA. They were very attentive and quick to diagnose with EKG's and blood work he was having a heart attack. They rushed him by ambulance to Baton Rouge General Main hospital off of Bluebonnet. A cardiologist was waiting for him and a bed in ICU was prepared and waiting for him. We learned there are two types of cardio surgeons, an Electrical one and a Plumber. My husband needed the plumber. They assessed him and medicated him, hook him up to monitors, etc. and planned surgery the next day, November 20. Dr. Smith inserted a stent and explained in common sense what was going on. My husband had 99.9% blockage. We met with Dr. Smith a week later and he gave us options on the other two blocked arteries. He took his time, did not apply pressure on us to make a choice and explained everything in layman's terms. We are so thrilled and feel lucky he was on call when we came into the ER. We will continue to use Dr. Smith."
