"Edit: In response to your comments, Chad, everything you have said is completely un-true. A refund was never offered, but on the flip-side of that.....why in the world would we opt to find a new venue TWO WEEKS before our wedding date? And why in the world would you even suggest that to a bride? You wouldnt, because you didnt suggest that to us so I am unsure why you would even say that. Secondly, you didnt know anything about what our budget and/or finances were to say that we couldnt afford something. Yes, there were things that happened that made me feel that we were not wanted at your venue/home. Everything i have said in my review of our experience is the absolute truth. Of course I wanted to be respectful, because I didnt need anything else to go wrong as a bride. Again, i was a bride trying her hardest to make her day special. We did nothing to make you feel like you couldnt keep us happy. I am not here to argue, or even put anyone down personally. I chose to write this review, because when our photographer, our friend, tried for two months to get in touch with you and you made the comments you did about us....it was insulting and it validated to me what I was feeling back when we got married there. That we are not wanted there. You told our photographer that you would see if you could find someone to let us on the property, after two months of her trying to get in touch with you. She says that she has not heard from you since, and that was atleast two weeks ago. I see that you do have some good reviews left by people who had good experiences, and that is great. I wish our experience would have been the same. My husband and I got married at this venue back in 2015. I believe we were one of their first weddings. At the time, they did not have the new barn or any option for inside events. I’m posting this review because I just feel insulted. When we got married here, we were forced to have to move our wedding date to the next weekend because of the weather. Even after moving the date, the owners had to allow us to move our reception inside of the home because of the rain. I felt then because of Chads attitude toward me that he was annoyed to have to do that. On our wedding day, I showed up early that morning to decorate for the ceremony/reception. I had zero help from anyone. It was uncomfortable walking around someone’s home, moving things, and the owners not being there to assist me. I remember chad leaving me to go to his office, and I never could find him if I had questions. I was a bride who was trying to make her day beautiful, with not only the weather but people working against her. My memories of that day are not good ones. We were told we could use real flower petals outside for the ceremony and didn’t need to worry about picking them up. The next day, Chad had my husband and my dad out in the rain picking them up when we came to clean. I was just made to feel like they couldn’t wait to be done with us and off the property. I didn’t want to think that way so I just brushed it off, but now I know my feelings were valid. Jump forward to the present. We are coming home for thanksgiving, and wanted to have family pictures done as we just had our first baby. It felt full circle to have them done there. Our photographer, who also happens to be my best friend and was in our wedding, has been trying for a good two months to get in touch with chad to schedule this. He contacted her back one time a couple weeks ago. When he discovered it was us, he made the comment “yea that’s one of those weddings you never forget”. He told her that he would see if he could get someone to let us on the property, and she’s not heard from him since. To say something so rude like that towards people who did nothing, but try and have a memorable day. I feel insulted, and I cannot recommend this venue. We will be looking elsewhere to have our first family photos taken."
"Went for wedding..beautiful...highly recomend"
"I am a live sketch artist. I've drawn all over and this is one of my top ten favorite wedding venues. Actually on my first trip to Cedar Croft I drew Cancer Surgeons from all over the world, but it's been all weddings since. The site was a horse ranch for many years. The main house is beautiful, and there are additional buildings on site giving endless layout possibilities. I don't think that I've drawn in the same spot twice. This is a perfect venue for Weddings, Anniversary Parties and other Family Reunions."
"Beautiful place for a wedding! Very romantic! We were there for an outdoor wedding. Wish I could have seen the interior."
"Absolutely beautiful wedding venue!!! The owners are super friendly and super helpful!"
