Reviews of Steamboat NATCHEZ - Official Site
"Generally speaking it was a nice experience and the ride was nice and enjoyable. The narrator of the excursion was excellent. There was jazz music but rather "old style". I believe that the jazz selections could be updated(I am originally from the city, and my father loved jazz music)"
"We enjoyed the trip immensely. The food was good, and the views were fantastic. I would suggest bringing a jacket, as the day we went, the wind got a bit chilly. It was very cool seeing the wheel actually propelling the boat forward. Most of the steamboat paddles are apparently decorative and not functional."
"Pretty good overall experience! Booked through viator, we got the lunch combo. The food was not bad! Basically a sampler of creole breakfast- gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding etc. Nice jazz in the background, and plenty of outdoor views! A good start to our trip."
"Great cruise! We opted for the sightseeing only without lunch but enjoyed every minute. Onboarding was quick and efficient; though keep in mind if you're one that has to be there early and wants to get on first, passengers who've paid for lunch get on first -at least for the cruise we were on. The ship itself seemed to be well maintained, very clean, and seats were easy to find everywhere. Being able to do a self-guided tour of the engine room was also an added bonus!"
"Must do in NO! The wife chose this and I was the one that had the most fun!! I have an affinity for things of a bygone time. It's like a stop back in time. My kids also enjoyed the time and food. The food is well prepared, and portions are good. We've had so many good meals to eat in our stay. We were thoroughly impressed! We were on a not so busy not so full charter, so it was nice not to be overrun by people and have attentive staff. The service was good, and the bar was fair. You get a wristband for specific "free" drinks, and you could choose anything else for a much higher price (Irish coffee $20) You'll hear about historical events, recent and from much older. The tour guide is over the speaker. In the dining hall, you'll have the opportunity to hear live music, and it's a great experience in its entirety. Treat yourself to this experience!!!"
