"Had such a great time on our swamp tour yesterday! The tour kicked off some local history from our bus driver Derick - which was a wonderful touch and much appreciated. He also gave us tips on things to do from a locals perspective. His passion for New Orleans and genuine care for visitors to his hometown really shone through. Thanks to Derick I had the best dinner of my trip so far - to find that out you’ll have to book a tour with Cajun Encounters first to hear it from Derick himself! The swamp tour itself was so much fun! Our tour guide Devin was engaging, funny, and made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves. I really appreciated that he went the extra mile to even maneuver the boat at times to make sure that no matter where you were sitting you were able to get a good view. We saw a whole lot of gators, raccoons, turtles, and birds. The interactions with the swamp pandas aka raccoons were some of my favorite. This has been a highlight of our trip and highly recommended that you book a tour to experience it yourself. I can’t wait to come back on my next visit to NOLA. "The entire experience was great from start to finish. D our bus driver gave a very entertaining and informative ride to the swamp. She told us all about New Orleans history. She also made recommendations on activities and interesting sites across the city. Our tour boat captain, Steve, was great. He made the tour interactive and encouraged us to ask any questions we had. There were kids on the boat and he even engaged them with the Disney facts. He made sure we got to see as many gators, snakes, birds, and Georges (racoons) as possible. I highly encourage anyone to book with them."

"We normally don’t sign up for tours when we travel…. we try to avoid touristy things. So happy we decided to go for this swamp tour anyways. Our guide was wonderful and the swamp was absolutely magical. So much wildlife. Truly felt like we were in another world. Highly recommend this company if you want to see the swamp. "This was fun. My daughter said it was her favorite part of our whole vacation. Will was our captain, he was great. The raccoons were so so so cute and saw a few alligators. It was the end of December, so we didn’t see any real big ones because they don’t like the cold water. Still really fun! Our bus driver, Dee, was fantastic too!"
