"If someone would have told me at the beginning of last year that I would be attending school here in June of last year, I would have never believed them. God had other plans for me, and I am so grateful for this opportunity. During my time here, this program has provided me with a solid foundation in the medical administrative field, equipping me with the expertise needed to excel in this demanding profession. None of this would have been possible without the guidance of this amazing staff here at Camelot College. I want to give a special Thank you to Mrs. Cummings for pushing me, supporting me and always being a listening ear and to Ms. Dabney Thank you for all the encouragement during the job placement process and all that you do. I have now accepted a position with Sutter Health and it feels so unreal. Every day I get to wake up and do what I love. To the future graduates Show up every day and give 1000 % even on the days you feel like you can’t show up for yourself and be sure to make time to study. This will not be an easy journey, but I promise if you stay the course, it will be well worth it in the end."
"I want to thank Pastor Williams, Pastor Williams wife and the entire Camelot College staff for this wonderful opportunity. It means so much to me! Before I started the program I would look online daily to see what programs would have suited me best. I recently had a baby one year ago and I knew I wanted to be the best mom that I could be for my baby girl. I knew that I’d have to get everything together mentally and financially so I kept praying and I didn’t stop looking for schooling. I also wanted it to be long term. Until one day I went into the Acadiana Work Force and Ms. Stacey Veal told me about this amazing opportunity and that I could also get possibly get approved for a grant. So I started the process of paperwork and I was indeed approved for a grant to cover my schooling for the Administrative Medical Assistant course. The program was well organized and my professor was very helpful and supportive. The staff were very consistent in resolving any issues with our technology. I followed the four D’s (You must be Determined, Dedicated and Devoted then you will reach your Career Destination) and that will always stick with me all the time. I showed up to class willing to learn more of what it took to become a Certified Administrative Medical Assistant. I am grateful to announce that I received a job offer at Merakey as an Administrative Assistant. With God all things are possible. Thanks for this huge opportunity!"
"Thank you so much for this awesome opportunity! Before starting this program I felt like I had reached rock bottom, I felt like I was in a hole that I couldn’t get out of, everyday something came and threw dirt on top on me, just a weight I couldn’t shake. I continuously prayed and asked Jehovah to please give me strength everyday. I wanted to be someone that my kids could look up. I needed to be mentally and financially stable not only for me but for them. Just wanted to give them a better life. Surfing the web one day I came across a grant opportunity that would allow me to go to school online and wouldn’t interfere with my daily job. I applied and the grant was accepted and the process began. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Pastor Williams and Mr. Aaron Simon with Camelot College and Ms. Emily Deer with Acadiana Workforce Commission made this such a smooth process for me. Starting school for me was a transition, being that I was out of school for 20+ years. I went in with a mindset that I couldn’t let nothing come between this success no matter what. I had obstacles that were thrown at me. I felt like I was under attack (spiritual warfare) of course when you are trying to succeed toward greatness the enemy always comes to attack, I was totally determined, Mrs. Cummings made sure if there were any questions, suggestions, or just needed someone to talk to she was there . She was dedicated to us which made me want to be more dedicated to myself. It didn’t stop there, after graduation we were placed in job placement seminars which Ms. Ashley Dabney made sure she sent us Links to jobs and was committed to assist with my job placement. I am now employed by Humana. I needed this, not just so I could have a career but a purpose. If I learned anything I learned that not all storms come to destroy you, They come to make a pathway for greatness. Camelot College helped me do just that. I’m now a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant all Thanks to the Love and Dedication of Camelot College. To all Camelot College future graduates continue to stay persistent and focused. In the words of Pastor Williams battle scripture “With GOD all things are possible”."
