"What I love most about BHCC is when you call, they book you within one week of reaching out. The counselors are excellent, and they offer Telehealth services for people wanting have therapy from their home. Their company dog is awesome too."

"I've been meeting with one of the counselors at BHCC for a couple of months now and I wish I had sought counseling years ago! My experience has been so much better and so much more helpful than I ever thought it would be. I felt immediately comfortable and was given helpful tools to apply in daily life. I also appreciate that my feedback on sessions and recommended tools/resources is requested weekly. It does feel more like a partnership and I've yet to feel talked at or lectured or anything other than heard and helped. The office staff has also been very kind and helpful and let me know up front what my insurance/co-pay situation would be before I even made my first appointment. The only reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is: 1. this is all still very new to me, 2. the inside of the office is a bit awkward. I can hear everything discussed in the admin office while I'm in the waiting room and what is going on in sessions in adjacent rooms 3. the office itself is awkwardly situated. It is difficult to ID from the street and parking can be challenging, finally 4. (this is a silly one, but...) I really want to redecorate the waiting room. LOL! NONE of these are deal breakers, obviously and NONE of them have anything to do with the quality of care or service I've received, but do somewhat contribute to my overall experience each visit...hence, the notch below "amazeballs" rating."

"Overall, the counseling sessions are wonderful but, when it comes to the transparency of their Office operations it is subpar to say the least. I initially went into the office to begin counseling knowing that I had met my out-of-pocket maximum for the year therefore, I shouldn't have had to pay anything but, their system apparently was behind in retrieving this information therefore, I paid a deductible but, I was assured that once the claim was processed I would be refunded any moneys owed to me. The following week I go for a second appointment only to find out that this information still had not been verified I was charged another deductible. The next week get a little better when they finally acknowledge that I didn't need any money out pocket. Now, this is when the shenanigans begin I was told that it could take up to 30 days from the time the claim is processed for me to receive a refund, I call the office to speak to the office manager a few times and she tells me that she must consult the owner, I wait another week and call back only to find that the owner is out of town. I waited another week and attended another session and informed my counselor about my displeasure in this matter only to be given a message that was relayed to her that my refund would be coming from United Healthcare I called them on this mornning 12/7/2016 to confirm who was supposed to issue my refund United Healthcare told me that the provider had been paid for these visits and they in fact owed me the refund. I contacted Behavioral Health Counseling once again to report my findings and I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner who now tells me that accounting doesn't receive the paperwork to process refunds until the entire case is closed out although they were paid for the visits in question. This was not stated to me initially therefore, I elected to end my counseling sessions with their establishment and was told that my refund could be up to 30 days more being processed, this whole ordeal began 10/20/2016 nearly two months later this is where I am."
