"I'd rate it 10 out of 5, if I would. The curators have paid incredible attention to detail in their faithful recreations and depiction of the events that transpired on D-day."
"BEWARE. Don't get marketed like I did. D-day to the Rhine Tour. Large tour group size and multiple groups scheduled at same hotels and sites made for rushed and crowded visits. Hotels with no or poor AC. Bombastic historian told us that TR, Jr. was to command 79th Div before his untimely heart attack, and that John Howard's pilot at Pegasus Bridge was "a fellow named Ainsworth". Too bad 90th Div and James Wallwork, the correct historical references. Ambrose Tours is a cash cow and the guests are the cattle!"
"We cannot say enough about the Band of Brothers tour which we just experienced. We had high expectations as this was a much anticipated tour for several years. These were exceeded in so many ways. There was surprise after surprise, historian Matt Broggie and manager Connie Kennedy excelled at their respective positions. Accommodations were good to exceptional and travel was easy. Do NOT delay taking this trip. It is a trip of a lifetime."
"We took the D-Day to the Rhine tour in 2017, and were in Normandy on the 73d anniversary of D-Day. What an experience. And having read Ambrose's book about D-Day just before, we were good and ready. Everything was superb. The tour guide was a retired Army general who at the time of his retirement was professor of military history at West Point. A bit overqualified as a tour guide! But wow, did we learn a lot just from him. The accommodations were superb, the scheduling was flawless, and the Dutch tour company that did the logistics was just perfect, including a tour supervisor who made close friends with everyone on the trip. Because of him, no one got lost and no one ever delayed the departure of the bus! (Unbelievable.) Highest marks all around - the best tour I've ever taken."
"We did the band of Brothers tour in June. Our historian was fabulous. The hotels were good to great. Everyone got along well in the tour group and the venues did not disappoint. Learned a lot! Loved it."
