Reviews of Friends of the Cabildo
"Highly recommended. I was lucky to have a private tour with Cindy P. The two hours flew by as she explained the history of Nee Orleans and took me around so many interesting parts of the French Quarters. It was educational and fun. Really glad I did it on my first morning in New Orleans. Cindy was warm, welcoming and shared lots of great tips too."
"I had a personal tour with Donna. She was quite knowledgeable about the history, culture and architecture of the area and she tailored the information she shared around my personal interests. I really appreciated that! Highly recommend this tour and Donna especially! Includes admission to the 1850 House Museum upstairs, visit the gift shop afterwards."
"This is THE tour to go on if you really want a detailed and interesting insight into New Orleans history. Our guide was Elliot who was a fascinating walking encyclopaedia of the city and could answer any and every question we could ask, with names and dates!"
"Although my husband and I have visited New Orleans many times, we learned so much more about this historic city from our knowledgeable tour guide, Cindy P! Her passion for New Orleans made the tour even more interesting and colorful! Among the many things Cindy explained to us was the difference between the cast iron and the wrought iron that is used throughout the French Quarter and she showed us the window behind Cafe Du Monde where you can watch as the beignets are being lifted out of the hot oil. Put on some comfy walking shoes and take this tour!"
"Our volunteer guide Roger was excellent. For a history buff like me, his knowledge of and passion to share the very rich history of New Orleans was a treat. I had a great time listening to Roger and came out mesmerized by the many fascinating things that make New Orleans so unique. For people who love history I highly recommend this walking tour, with Roger."
