"I don't understand why some go to school to be a counselor, and not fully understand the purpose of counseling! Yes, I understand every counselor operates differently, but who wants a counselor who listens or pretends she's listening and on complete silence? If a person comes to counseling to vent, release frustration, speak on behalf of life's greatest challenges or what they've been through! It's good to listen, but it's also good to give some form of feedback or input. With that being said, if counselor isn't a calling from God or you seriously don't understand what's the true reason why you chose to be a counselor. Maybe go back to being a social worker or find something else to do... If a person have been in silence at home to hold all that they have in to speak to someone "professional" about, what's the reason to come from one silence place to add extra stress to what you need input on? Life is short and we wonder why so many people are living in silence holding in so much, and want help to fix whatever their feeling but continue running into unnecessary supposed to care people! I don't get this nor do I understand it. If we want to get people out being depressed, oppressed, anxiety, PTSD, and stress...etc. Then, strive to be better so severe can see better. I hate wasting my time with inexperienced counselor's or "All about the Benjamin's" but not giving a rats a** about what's truly going on with the person they so claim they "care" to help. I mean seriously, people are longing for help and they seem to keep running into dead ends "I'm not as brothered about you unnecessary counselor's." Mine-mine-mine. May God help those who need others who truly CARE vs pretending...Smh"

"My wife went in for evaluation seeking for help mind you it took forever for me to convince her that she needed counseling, but unfortunately it was a slap in the face. First of all she acted as if she didn't want to see my wife afterwards during the session she started reading off of the computer to her not knowing what to say to her. Before seeing her you had to fill out papers to tell her about yourself soon as my wife got to talking to her she ask my wife how does your husband feels towards you having to come here, which drew the line because she stated on her application that we are lesbian, now my wife was really feeling uncomfortable. My wife finally was able to leave with more distress than she had before. She couldn't go to work because she was so upset. She will not be going back. I'll find her someone else that knows how it feels to need help. Thanks for nothing, but pain and agony!!!!"
