"I know my experience is not typical, but it needs to be stated. My experience was awful! Because of the temperature, wind, and moving boat, it was bitter cold. The guide (who was very nice guy) appeared to be wearing an insulated jumpsuit. He obviously knew what the conditions would be like. They said to dress warm the night before, but how many tourists know enough to have packed winter gear for a 2-hour ride in the Atchafalaya? They should have cancelled the tour due to cold and wind, because they have the experience to know better, and tourists don't. Also, we did not see a blessed thing worthy of paying a dime, much less paying for the whole tour. All foliage was dead, alligators were not out due to the cold, and very few birds. They did provide 1 blanket, but it was a bedspread that didn't do much to protect from wind and cold. If it's 50 degrees or colder on a cloudy, windy day in February, cancel your tour! Or bring your winter clothing and coats."

"My husband and I took this tour in early August 2021. We were in the area visiting for the first time and when our plans fell through, we reached out to another tour company, but they couldn't fit us in on such short notice.
