About the Business
The Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, located in Bell City, Louisiana, offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. "Nice gravel loop road 1 maybe 2 miles long...plenty if alligators and birds...the boardwalk is posted as closed..great views of the intercoastal bridge"
"The Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge is not worth stopping at. The last time that we have stopped here was over five years ago. It was a fun stop then. At the tourist center you could walk through the building and go on a nature walk on the trail. We were there at 10am Wednesday and they were completely closed. No signs explaining why they were closed. We won’t be returning back to this area for this. We are extremely disappointed because last time we had a great time."
"Super nice! We saw a roseat spoonbill (no pictures unfortunately), many birds and many gators !!"
"Great place to see the natural beauty of Southern Louisiana! We were fortunate to see gators sunning after a cold snap in the middle of December! Ducks, geese (snow geese were aplenty on our trip, in video attached!), and native plant life abound!"
"Easy drive thru south La safari. Lots of different bird species, turtles, nutria, some medium size and small alligators, occasionally some large alligators. We have seen many birds feeding, a turtle laying eggs, coyotes and deer running around, small baby birds following their parents, geese flying and honking, and others passing thru. There is also a 1/4 mile boardwalk which is fun for the family. Bring bug spray when warm weather, it is usually breezy though so you may not need it. Definitely a good park for photography. We have take thousands of pictures, and I have posted one from my phone."
