"John Calvin is absolutely the best! All three of my grandchildren have gone there, along with many of their friends. I love the Zoophonics program. They also teach other preschool skills, music, and do many arts and crafts. I have also enjoyed helping out with their activities. Their faculty and staff have been very accommodating. My grandchildren have made many wonderful memories and are still glad to see their teachers when they visit. When my last one leaves after next year, we're all going to miss being there very much."
"They have been great for my daughter and her early social development. Plenty of family oriented activities, they really try to get the entire school and families into each activity and event. Every teacher I've interacted with has been great. My daughter comes home each day so happy and energetic. They have been great in helping her get ready for normal school."
"This is a great socialization opportunity for my 2 year old. He loves going to school and is learning so much. I love the teaching style and his teachers are the best, sweetest, most nurturing teachers. The zoophonics program that they are doing is great, and my son randomly brings them up. It truly is learning through play. The administrators are wonderful and know all of the children by name. The classrooms and playground are very well maintained and the playground has a lot of activities. I love that they have body movement and music class, as well."
"There are so many great things to say about John Calvin Playschool. My 4 year old son is currently in Ms. Annie's class and she is spectacular! She is incredibly patient, caring and nurturing with all of the children at all times. I have been a part of the John Calvin family for 2 years now and it feels exactly that way... like family. John Calvin Playschool is a rare find. Children truly learn through play and are taught through developmentally appropriate practices. Unlike many other early childhood programs, many of John Calvin's teachers are certified teachers who understand uniquely what young children need to learn and grow. They work with them not only in academics but social skills as well. Not to mention the enrichment classes of body movement, art, and music are a great addition to their learning. The only thing that will be tough about being at John Calvin is having to leave once my son is ready for Kindergarten. Whichever school I decide to enroll him in will have huge shoes to fill."
"This school is the worst!!!!!! They are impatient and cruel. My son is three and a half years old and he was in the pre school program. Annie was unprofessional with my son, when I dropped my son off one morning I seen her grab him an push him around. That same day my wife picked him up and he was on the playground, she was on the balcony and apparently Annie didn't see her up there. My wife watched as Annie pulled an pushed him around and forced him to sit down, teachers need to be patient with toddlers, they have a lot of energy and she didn't even warn him she took it upon herself to use physical force to control my son. If she was having serious problems with him I don't understand why she would not have contacted us so we could have worked something out. I didn't report her to the principal I tried to talk to her first after both my wife and I saw her put her hands on our son but when I talked to her she was sorry and she said she won't d it again. A few days later the principal called me and wanted to have a meeting when I arrived they had a check written out and informed me that they no longer wanted my son to attend their school. Because I didn't report her first she took maters into her hands and reported my son saying he was hitting her and she couldn't control him. Since when does a three and a half years old child have control over a teacher? He was hitting her and disrespecting her but yet she couldn't contact either one of us instead we caught her putting her hands on him and when she felt that her job was in danger then she wants to say that my son was was behaving in these ways after three months. If your love your child I wouldn't recommend this teacher or this school because of its barbaric tactics. -Jake P.S. Might this be a case of racial profiling!?"
