"Dr. Mills is a very kind and empathetic doctor. However, she works in a poorly managed clinic. To give an example, I had a glucose test scheduled for today. Her nurse canceled my 10:30 appt and didn’t bother to schedule me another one. So, I scheduled my own at 1:30p the same day. I called the office and the representative said that she canceled my appt and she tried calling but I didn’t answer. I never had a message on my voicemail regarding her cancelling my appt. The representative told me that I could still do my glucose test to go ahead to Labcorp at anytime then come back to see Dr. Mills for my 1:30p appt. I went to lab corp around 10:45. I was unable to do my glucose test because the nurse at Dr. Mills office never put in the order. This is not the first time this has happened to me from this office. I have had it happen to me two other times for HcG draws. By the time the nurse put in the order for my glucose test, the lab corp lady behind the desk said that I would have to come back after lunch for my test to get done because Dr. Mills’s office didn’t have the order in at an appropriate time. I had to fast for this test so waiting till after lunch would have had me waiting until after 1pm to eat. I’m 6 months pregnant and was already dizzy from not eating or drinking from the night before. I’m only leaving this review because this has become a common occurrence from this office (the Touro location). I hope that staff can become more vigilant in putting in orders and scheduling patients appts at appropriate times so that it’s not an inconvenience to their patients. My first child was born at Ochsner baptist and I had literally zero issues with the staff there. LCMC on the other hand has been nothing but headaches. Dr. Mills is great, everything else is a nightmare."
