"I’m stuck with Medicaid now, and Dr Rayapati has always been amazing. Haven’t had any billing issues as the other reviewer seemed to have. Tulane is now part of LCMC network so there could have been issues due to this merger which seems to have happened recently."

"Dr. Rayapati is fine. However, I have been 3 times to see her and all 3 times I've had billing issues that take months to resolve. Their office does not care whatsoever if they bill things incorrectly. I even reached out to Dr Rayapati to let her know how horrible my experience has been with her billing department and was met with no response. So, that leaves me to believe she obviously doesn't care either. I would say go elsewhere unless you just have plenty of extra time to fight with billing after every appointment. Her office also billed my routine pap smear labs out of network without notifying me when they should have been free under my insurance policy. So instead of being free like they should have been had they been billed correctly, they sent me a bill for several hundred dollars. Their office told me it was my problem. But guess what, insurance told me that your office would have received notification that what they were doing was out of network and should have notified me to see if I wanted to proceed. This office has constantly billed my husband's name like he went to the obgyn just because I'm a dependent on the insurance and have to spend multiple months fighting them to re-process the claim correctly under my name. I'm done with the lack of care and incompetency when it comes to billing. If you can't even treat me with respect when it comes to billing, then I will find another dr. Please take my word for it and find another dr not in Tulane network unless you just want to continuously fight with billing."
