"Dr. Simmons is anazing! My pregnancy was one complication after another. When I got diagnosed with placenta previa early on, I was told I had to see MFM. I was nervous about having a high risk pregnancy but after meeting Dr. Simmons, I felt confident I was in good hands. She answered all my questions, was knowledgeable, and calmed my nerves. As my pregnancy progressed, I showed signs of placenta accreta, a rare but scary condition that causes massive bleeding at delivery. Dr. Simmons explained everything to me and reassured me that I was in good hands. At 35 weeks, I was scheduled for my c section. When I got to the OR, Dr. Simmons was already there and when I started having a panic attack, she hugged me and calmed me down and reassured me. Her bedside manner and confidence is amazing. She and my OB, Dr. Bader, worked wonderfully to get my baby out safely. Once he was out, they worked together to perform a hysterectomy on me because of the placenta accreta. I lost a lot of blood and had I not been under the care of Dr. Simmons, Dr. Bader, and the wondeful staff at womans, I dont know if me and my baby would have made it. I cannot thank her enough for the wonderful care she provided."

"Dr. Simmons has been a gift to Baton Rouge! I’m so grateful we crossed paths! She has the gift of warmth and the unique ability to connect with her patients and instantly they feel comfortable.
