CVS Pharmacy

"The service at the CVS located at 2105 Cleary in Metairie, La has awful service. It may take up to 11-15 minutes before someone acknowledges you in the pharmacy area and drive up. Customer service training is most definitely needed for all employees at this store. Bad attitudes are also prevalent."

"Don't believe the huge red sign at the drive thru that say BOTH LANES FULL SERVICE. If you wait an hour in the left lane for a prescription they'll tell you to go get in the other lane because they only do covid testing in the left lane. In the time spent exchanging words how there's no sign indicating the left lane could not produce prescriptions, they could have just handed me my prescription."

"They have HORRIBLE service! Prescriptions are never ready, even after a notification call. Very rude and refused to release meds directly to my spouse after I took a bad fall and was bed ridden - they claimed I would need to be there to pick up myself. This has been going on for past 5 years - we're switching to Walgreens on Airline and Clearview."

"I'm updating my review. I continue to go to this CVS for little things since there is no grocery store as close. They have picked up one really good cashier. She's great. I forgot her name, but she took the time to tell me about how to use your 30-40% coupons on a single item. She explained if you ask the cashier to ring up your most expensive item, then you get more bang for your buck, because the register will take it off the lowest priced item. She didn't have to do that and she did it with a smile. As to the pharmacy, still, seriously unhappy people. The last time I had a prescription there, it still took forever while over hearing the internal gossip of the store. While this is fascinating stuff, if it's derogatory, keep it to yourself please. That's one of the cardinal rules in costumer service. I live close by, but take all my pharmacy needs to CVS on Severn and Esplanade. Once you get to know the techs there, they are very helpful. Just a tip if the regional or district manager looks at this, make sure your people like their job, encourage them, and with a store with this much traffic, you should be there more often. I don't think I've ever seen a manager there."

"I was visiting from out of town when I got sick and needed to have a prescription filled. The directions read "take 1/2 tablet" etc. I did not have a pill splitter nor a knife with me, so I asked the pharmacist if he could split the pill for me. His response--"We are not in the pill splitting business." I was shocked at his rudeness. Now that I have moved to Metairie, I will definitely NOT use this pharmacy. Go to Majoria Drugs. They are very accommodating."
