"2/16/22 brought in brand new carbon wheelset and bought freehub from SB and had them install it. Come to find out after first ride they installed incorrect freehub so I contacted DT Swiss and got appropriate freehub shipped direct to me. I installed it and bike works great now.... Went back to SB to see if they would refund or even give partial credit for the incorrect freehub they mounted to my bike but was told no... PSA. I did not have the $20 Endcap but did have the freehub that they incorrectly sold me and was not offered any sort of assistance..... Long Story short be sure you have the correct parts installed before you leave the store. not the best practice to install incorrect freehubs to carbon wheelsets for many many reasons."

"Surprised to see several people say the staff was not up to par or the customer service was poor, I had the opposite experience. I do a lot of tune ups myself, but have an old vintage 1990 bike that was having some issues that they were able to correct without issues. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. I will be sending my other bikes for tune ups as well."

"Extremely unknowledgeable and unprofessional staff. Drove and 1.5 hours to get my bikes simple repairs done because on the phone they said no problem. Upon questioning them on their abilities and knowledge it was apparent they have no ability other than parts sales. They got very defensive with any questioning of their service. They are not capable to do quality maintenance. Also there were 5 guys and I had to wait while they waited on 1 lady. Very poor customer service. The other bike shop near by is much more capable and professional. Do your research!"

"Southern Bicycle Company is the heir of The Bicycle Shop that once lived by the North Gate to LSU. The new shop is much easier to get to on Perkins Road at the intersection with Stewart, next to Mary Lee Donuts. They now sell TREK bicycles and BONTRAGER helmets, gloves, shoes, etc. They also carry a range of floor pumps, gels, water bottles, and other equipment. The shop has maintained its excellent repair service. Highly recommended!"
