"Went for my daughter’s birthday for the Carcal and we enjoyed ourselves so much we are from Buffalo and went on vacation to visit my dad. The workers were so kind and even though they were working they still answered questions we had asked about the animals."

"Beautiful and well laid out zoo with tons of different types of animals. Decent sized and well laid out enclosures. Handicap accessible throughout. Cafe has decent prices as does the gift shop. Best zoo in Louisiana that I have visited. Smooth and clean walkways throughout made it very stroller friendly as well. Very impressed and will return."
"Such a cute zoo, the path around it is shaded. So you don't have to be in the sun all day. We got in relatively quickly, we had 1 person in front of us. We also got a military discount. It was $15 for myself has been and my 9 month old was free. We enjoyed the animals and all of the enclosures and the extra props that were put in place. Especially with it being halloween it was super cute. Also I really enjoyed the first exhibit. We looked at which was the coyfish monkeys and ducks all-in-one little area. They really did a good job setting up the zoo. And they also have a cafe, a playground for kids. And it's relatively clean, the cages don't stink so they take good care of their animals here."
"It was a really good day to go to the zoo. Not many people, which is always nice. A few of the enclosures are under renovation, but the ones that had animals in them are so worth it. It's a very large location compared to some. Definitely will be going back when it gets a little more cooler. It wasn't too hot today, and thank goodness for all the shade!"
