"So I rushed from work to pick up my medicine walked in 10 min till 7 and got in line. There was maybe 4 people ahead of me and a very rude woman storms out the back and says we are closing after the woman infront of you! No one was behind me and they still were open. The time she took to come out and rudely tell me they were closed 8 min before closing time she could have helped knock the line down and got my medicine. Glad it wasnt a life or death situation and i needed it the next day! Since walgreens took over it is a absolute mess. Customer service is non existant and the wait time is ridiculous. Will be using Walmart from here on out!"
"Feb. 28, 2023 4:20 pm When my doctor calls in my prescription & it doesn’t get filled until the next day, something is wrong. It shouldn’t matter if it’s an antidepressant or a controlled substance, they should all be filled on a timely manner. When it’s time for my Suboxone to be filled, that’s when they drag their feet & it’s not right. March 01, 2023 2:00 pm Twenty two (22) hours later, my prescription was ready. The medicine was still in the original bottles ~ meaning they didn’t have to be counted or anything. This clarified everything I have been saying. The day before, Feb. 28, 2023 @ 4:20, when my medicine was called in, was three (3) hours before they closed. How hard would it have been to grab the 2 bottles & slap the printed sticker on the bottle? Instead, I called the next morning at 9:15 & was told it would be ready at 1:00 and I was finally able to pick it up at 2:00. There is zero doubt in my mind if that would have been an antidepressant, blood pressure medicine, inhaler or any other medicine besides a controlled substance, it would have been ready the day it was called in. I play this game with Brookshires every month & nothing will ever be done about it until I stand up and do something legally. NO-ONE knows my story & everyone is to be treated equally, I thought. Calling in & complaining hasn’t helped the situation so this looks like my next step.I have dates & times where I have called and spoke to a gentleman in Monroe that assured me the problem would be taken care of. This not only happens to me but my friend also has the same problem every month and we literally dread having to call and/or wait to see how long it will take to fill the medicine on said month. The same thing goes for this medication as for an antidepressant, you are not suppose to stop taking this all at once, you taper off or you can have devastating consequences. If my doctor feels the need to prescribe this medication, a pharmacist or their little puppets should not be able to play the games they’re playing with peoples medicines. Everyone you know is going through something and to have this stress every time I pick up this medicine, it’s just not right. DECEMBER 29, 2023 Against my better judgement, I had my doctor send in one (1) prescription yesterday, around 11:30 am & I called @ 4:30 pm to get the status ~ since nothing was still showing in my app ~ I was told they were out of the medicine, they had ordered it & call today after 2:00 pm. It’s 1:05 pm & I just received a text letting me know that they are out of the medicine & it wouldn’t be in until after 2:00 pm MONDAY ~ 5 days after being called in?!?! Any doctor, pharmacist, nurse, etc. with even a part of a functioning brain, will tell you this medicine HAS to be tapered off, you cannot just abruptly stop taking it yet this little game keeps being played. I know by losing just one customer, it doesn’t matter but according to these reviews I’ve been reading, I’m not the only one that’s having problems here. My doctors office is in the process of canceling my order & sending it across the street to CVS and I have moved my other 4 meds plus my partners’ meds as well. I’m old & don’t have to play these games. The drive thru is never open anymore, I guess they’re “short staffed” even tough the staff are stepping over each other when I go inside. Feb. 5, 2024 Playing with peoples meds are going to catch up with this pharmacy before long & I cannot wait. Brookshire’s has deteriorated over the years & I really hope bringing in Walgreens will finish them off, sooner than later. I thought Pharmacists took an oath to not judge and/or to treat each customer with the same respect they expect to receive but that is not the case here. It shouldn’t matter if you’re getting a blood pressure medicine filled or a controlled medicine but it does. A controlled medicine takes days, I’m on day 3 , but a bp medicine, it is filled within a couple of hours, if that. They just haven’t played games with the right one yet:)"
"If I could give zero stars I would. Si ce this pharmacy has taken over, they're horrible and rude! Every time a Dr calls in a prescription, it takes all day or more to fill. I can't even call to check because nobody answers and the line just hangs up! Brookshires needs to get rid of Walgreens pharmacy!"
"I called to inquire about a transfer to their pharmacy and the lady who answered was very rude and dismissive. She said there was no guarantee of medicine. I asked if she could check and she put me on hold with no warning at all. I hung up and have tried to call back a dozen times with no answer. No professionalism and a serious lack of customer service, well, actually, service at all. I will not be back. This switch from Brookshire’s to Walgreens was a mistake. My prescriptions did get transferred and 2 hours later still not ready while my husband stopped off on the way home from work. They promised us meds by close. We show back up 30 minutes to closing and they are shutting down shop early with an explanation of “we can close down whenever we feel like it.” They have sold out of our promised medicine and as we are requesting a transfer she yells at my husband “We are Walgreens NOT Walmart”, as he is asking to have the prescription transferred again to a different Wal-Mart. I honestly cannot believe these employees can keep their positions treating people this way. You’re dealing with people in compromised health or in a worrisome state for their loved ones. You should be ashamed."
"Switched to Brookshire’s pharmacy and things are going much more smoothly with our prescriptions and refills. You can speak to a live person to have unusual problems addressed. (Some of my meds are uncommon or need pre-authorization, but they order them or do whatever is necessary. They are very busy, but seem to take pride in their work and take it seriously."
