The Parenting Center at Children's Hospital - Uptown

The Parenting Center at Children's Hospital - Uptown, located at 210 State Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a health institution that provides support and resources for parents and grandparents facing the challenges of raising children. Our team of Parent Educators offer guidance and assistance for families from birth through adolescence, covering a wide range of topics such as eating habits, sleep patterns, communication with teens, and more. The Center offers classes, a lending library, and a playroom for families to enjoy. COVID precautions are in place for the Playroom, and reservations can be made by calling 504.896.9591 or online.

In addition to in-person services, the Parenting Center also offers virtual options such as live parenting segments on WWLTV's cable network and online music sessions with Ms. Erin. Individuals with disabilities are welcome at Children's Hospital New Orleans, and accommodations, including access to service animals, are provided to ensure all programs and services are accessible. Service animals are defined by the ADA as those trained to perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability, and will be accommodated unless deemed a "direct threat" or requiring a "fundamental alteration" of facilities or services.
