Do not come to Longue Vue just for the gardens as you'll miss out on the fascinating tour and story of the family who lived there, the way they cared for others, and the wildly techie systems for a home of those times. The giftshop is super sweet with so many cute things to take home and give as gifts."

"We chose Longue Vue as the venue for our outdoor wedding ceremony in May, and it exceeded every expectation we had! The ceremony was outside on the lawn with the main house in the background, which was beautiful. The grounds were filled with flowers so we didn’t have to spend more money to decorate. The only small thing we had to consider was that the parking lot was a bit on the small side, so we recommended that our guests use rideshare services. However, the overall experience was amazing and we are so lucky to have found such a beautiful venue in New Orleans."

Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny, and ready to answer questions. You get to see several rooms of the home, and the ones you can't see are explained to you. It has amazing architectural details, and the gardens are meticulously organized. It was also fascinating to learn so much about the family who owned the home and all the equitable and impactful charity work they did. This was such a gem of a spot to visit, and we spend time sitting in the chairs along the oak-lined walk, which was just stunning."
