Wilshire Heights Apartments

"Maria Pinho was the leasing agent I was working with. I had submitted an application, which was never sent off to who it needed to go to. She also told me I had to go to 3 different companies about my credit (mind you, I have great credit). I had my realtor reach out on my behalf with questions due to me not understanding the credit situation. Maria had given my realtor the runaround and also told her after she would no longer speak to her and hung up on her. I requested a refund and was told by Maria it would take over 30 days to get back. We tried to get in touch with her supervisor and when we finally did, the supervisor had no idea what Maria had done. They then were only going to issue a refund for the deposit . We had to explain that our application was never sent off to where it needed to go to in order to obtain our application fee (as well as the deposit). I did receive a refund in the long run, although it was about $5 short. I also got my refund within 3 days after speaking to whoever was over Maria. Overall, it seems like Maria tries to/does pocket money from potential renters."

"The staff was very helpful with trying to least an apartment here. One specific person helped the most Ms.Latricia, she helped us with every step and made sure we were not behind with anything during this process. I thank her for that! We can not wait to move in!"

"I’m only giving it 1 star because I have too. This place is NOT kid friendly. My children aren’t even allowed to play on OUR porch. The neighbors harass my children every time they go outside. One neighbor in particular has taken photos, has recorded them and has gone up to them to tell them to be quiet. I have informed the office and Hortencia the property manager about this but it seems as she always takes this particular neighbors side. If you have kids I highly suggest not to move here unless you keep your kids inside all the time or you’ll be getting letters to your door. This is more of a retirement home than a family oriented place."

"Wilshire Heights works for me. With the tree-lined streets, it doesn't feel like apartment living at all. The apartments are spacious (1,500 square feet) and well-maintained. Should a problem arise, Toni Management is quick to respond. The location gives easy access to New Orleans and is less than a block from Fresh Market, Office Depot and Walgreens. I've been here four years and can't imagine living anywhere else."

"I do not live here. My review is only pertaining to my experience with the management office located at this complex. The women in there are incredibly rude. They do not greet you. They do not smile at you. One woman answered her cell right after she begrudgingly asked us what we needed. Then while she was on the phone the other woman also begrudgingly asked us what we wanted and in doing so could barely contain an eye roll."
