"We started there over ten years ago and have no regrets. KAPT is like family to us they are always looking out for our kids. Best decision we ever made"
"I feel so incredibly lucky for both of my children to be at this daycare. My daughter is excited about going to school every single morning. The staff is incredible. Their communication is excellent and they truly go above and beyond to make the kids have a fun learning experience. There are family events that are so special. Summer events that the kids love. Regardless of drop off or pickup, there is always a good vibe when entering the center. My daughter just graduated Pre-K and is about to start Kindergarten. She has completely blossomed since starting at KATP. Also - The effort the staff put into the graduation ceremony was unbelievable. Ms. Jamie has created something truly beautiful with this place."
"Everything in the review from the woman with the child who forewarned KAPT that her child was experiencing behavior challenges is EXACTLY how they treat children who don't follow their "way or the highway" authoritarian discipline style. What is upsetting is that, no one has ever come to me and has been transparent with me about the issues they are having. It has always been me asking how my son's day was going and then being bombarded with nothing but negative comments about my 2.5 year old. We loved his previous daycare but we moved to Prairieville, so it wasn't feasible to keep him where he was at. I wanted to love this daycare, but my son came home with a "first offense" on a behavior letter saying that someone would either have to pick him up everyday for noon or we would have to come sit with him everyday for the duration of his nap, because they couldn't get him to lay down and that sitting next to him for five minutes until he fell asleep was "too much". One of the nice tenured teachers told us not to worry about the letter and that he wasn't misbehaving for her at all and that she would keep an eye on him and help during nap-time, but then this morning the director said that it was a "no-go" and that one of us would be required to still come everyday at noon to pick up our child for the day or sit with him for his 2 hour nap. My child had ZERO problems at his previous daycare that KAPT is saying they are having with him. All in all, I want other mom's and dad's to know that unless your toddler is an angel and never misbehaves, this daycare will not be a good fit for you. There are other daycares in the area that will LOVE your child and it's probably better to choose elsewhere."
"I wish there was a rating greater than 5 stars! Both of my kids loved their years from babies to Pre-K at Kids are People Too. The staff became family over the years and the value that you get is truly worth it. Mrs. Jamie is beyond helpful in working with you to accommodate your schedule, child needs, payment plans, etc. For those looking for a reliable and nurturing daycare for your kids, this is the best in the area."
"I have thought about writing a review for months, but I needed time to think about my experience at KAPT. After such time, I feel compelled to warn other parents about the lack of professionalism exhibited by the owner of the facility. When I signed my child up to attend KAPT, I was thoroughly impressed by the staff, their temperaments, the facility in general, and the fun I saw other children having. My child absolutely loved going to daycare at KAPT. However, after not even two months of attending the center, the owner came to me and told me that she did not feel my child was suitable for their facility. Now, prior to this, my son visited the facility, and I was honest about the issues he was facing and his treatment for symptoms such as hyperactivity and impulsiveness. They assured me that this would not be an issue, that they had fostered the learning of children with ADHD before. However, during the exit speech the owner gave me, she told me that she thought my son (3yo) should be medicated, have a brain scan, and needed to see a psychiatrist. She said, "There is a malfunction in his brain." She also said that the staff at the facility were too 'out-of-shape' and old to care properly for my child. While I understand that KAPT may have not been the right fit for my child and I appreciate the owner admitting to any deficiencies she felt were present, the lack of professionalism and discrimination in her comments is against state regulations. Children with disabilities or children who are being treated for symptoms of mental health issues such as ADHD should be more protected under the law and should not face discrimination in licensed daycare facilities. The stars I awarded to the facility in my rating simply because everyone tends to speak highly of KAPT and the facility is visually pleasing and clean."
