Reviews
"Please note: This review isn't regarding her ability or inability as a counselor. We did not receive services here long enough to make a fair assessment of Courtney Millers ability there. We had 4 appointments here with Courtney (including the initial parental assessment). 3 appointments were moved by at least 1 hour with less than 8 business hours notice. All appointments were noticeably late. When attempting to discuss the issues with this Courtney's response was "wow" and "I have 3 kids and it wont be the last time I'm running behind". We cancelled further appointments solely due to her lack of professionalism and lack of respect for other peoples times."
"Hands down the BEST!! My boys LOVE Courtney and actually look forward to attending sessions. It is a safe, warm, caring, and loving environment. They are not treated like clients, as Courtney genuinely loves them as they were her ow. I absolutely love that about her and trust her completely with both of my boys. They have both made so much progress. We love North Bossier!!"
"North Bossier Counseling has one of the kindest and most caring individuals I have ever spoken to. Mrs. Marissa is a great listener and really helps get to the heart of the problem. I feel like I've had a real breakthrough after speaking to her and would 100% advise others to do the same. This is what progress feels like."
"Brought my grandchildren to this practice because it was recommended by guidance counselor at my grandchildren's middle school. All 3 of us separately attended sessions. I was unimpressed from beginning to end. We were told that we would need to pay a fee for their services for whatever my insurance did not cover. My expectation was that I would receive a bill first and would be aware either entering or existing what the fee was and would be charged for the fees at the time of service. Instead we were 3 sessions in for all 3 of us before they suddenly tried to just charge my card without notifying me first. Then they emailed me and acted like I was trying to bilk them out of their money. They were paid as soon as I was aware they were trying to charge me for something. By the time they charged me for the out of pocket fees it was $150 all at once, whereas if it had been for each visit it probably would have been split across each session. In any case, it would be nice to receive a BILL first. Besides the billing issues, none of us felt like we were getting anywhere with the counseling sessions either. My grandkids said their therapist literally sat there and said nothing. How is that helping? She told them she could sit in silence as long as they could. I don't see how that is helping to establish a trusting relationship. I'm not a therapist but if that's your specialty, I was certainly expecting something more. I'm hopeful others are having a better experience than we did."
"First time I went, my ADHD results were never faxed to my doctor - the person who referred me to go. I’ve contacted the office and so has my doctor. Still haven’t received the faxed results. Made a follow up appointment that I could not attend because I was quarantined due to COVID. I called two days in advance during business hours and no one answered. I left a voicemail and no one returned my phone call. Texted the office lady the next day, and she said she'd let the counselor know. They still charged me $60 because I couldn’t cancel my appointment within 48 hours. I definitely won’t be returning."
