"Dr. Ellis specializes in pediatric neurological ophthalmology. Take it from a mom who did the work, he IS the best in this state. Yes. You will have to wait. A while. Every appointment. Mainly because people come from all over the state and the gulf coast because of his specialty. Pack snacks, self entertainment, and take the day off work. The wait time will pass faster. (If your child needs dilation, plan on a minimum three hour appointment) Some good news? Free parking. If you are visiting the practice for the first time or if you are a regular patient who needs to be there every 6-8 weeks, you'll see an assistant most of the time. Dr. Ellis ALWAYS came in at the end to answer questions and say hello to my family. When my child needed several surgeries, Dr. Ellis and his team made sure the experience was as safe and calm as possible for my severely anxious, autistic child. Yes, the appointments are time-suckers but like the old saying goes, the best things in life are worth waiting for. Dr Ellis and his team are THE BEST and worth the wait."

"Never going back! Dr. Ellis is unprofessional. You make an appointment, pay the co pay and he is not even there. So, I paid a Co pay to see his assistant. I heard he does that often. He is not thorough. Very disappointed."
