Iowa Pharmacy

"I would give no stars if I could. The pharmacy i normally use (my health insurance online pharmacy) was out of my diabetes medicine so I called Iowa Pharmacy (since they are in my network) and they had it so my Dr sent them prescription. Wasnt filled by end of day so I went the next day around 4pm. Still not filled. Then I'm told they can't fill it because I'm not setup there. I ask what I had to do to get setup. Then I was told they couldn't fill it unless I had ALL my medicine filled there. My health insurance online pharmacy was out of my medicine, they are in my network and wouldnt fill my prescription. I called my health insurance & was told yeah, they are in network to fill for us. But they didnt. They DID offer to send my prescription to another pharmacy of my choice. No thank you. I will NEVER try to fill medicine there nor will I shop inside. Won't spend a penny there."

"Brought my husbands Rx in to be filled post surgery and was told “sorry, we can’t fill that until this afternoon... the pharmacist is about to take a lunch break”. After already driving from a hospital over an hour away it was disappointing that we had to drive another 25 minutes to another pharmacy while he was in pain. We had his 3 other prescriptions sent over at 9AM and they “never received them”. I understand this happens sometimes. I was on the phone with the nurse practitioner when she called his meds out again at 12:45. When i called at 3 to see if they were ready they had “just received them” and i was told i could pick them up in an hour. While the staff is friendly, they are extremely slow and not patient minded. I will not be bringing my business there again."
