Reviews
"Lots of awesome insects! Walking sticks, scorpions, mantises, centipedes and much more. They also have a butterfly exhibit. When you buy a combo ticket, it's pretty pricey ($40 per adult) but both the aquarium and insectarium are worth visiting."
"Super cute museum with a fantastic set of new exhibits for the insectarium. We really enjoyed going through them and see all the displays. They had staff members with live animals, Beatles, and millipedes to show and teach you about them. It’s a real treat, definitely targeted for kids, but even as adults we had a fun time."
"**Look for deals to buy tickets with aquarium or zoo, can get them 2 for the price of one! Much more worth it!** Insectarium was great! Staff were friendly, very informative, kid friendly with the opportunity to try foods with insects in them for free! Would be a great place for kids."
"We were impressed with the insectarium! The variety of insects and exhibits was interesting. Our kids, ages 10, 8, and 5, loved it and were fascinated by all the things to see and learn. They greatly enjoyed the butterfly experience, too."
"The exhibits are very light on information but provide you with a couple dozen enclosures full of interesting insects, good lighting and viewing angles. There is also a small butterfly garden and viewing windows for chrysilids. The whole thing will last about an hour if you're really taking time to observe the animals. At an adult ticket price of $35, it's too expensive for what you get. But when you bundle aquarium tickets (same building) and additionally zoo tickets (across town) it gets progressively cheaper and becomes a better value that can take up most of a day."
