"I was a patient for many years until racism, unprofessional practices starting happening. Being African American you’ll either be over medicated or not seen at all. It appears that now since they can’t keep any doctors they throw their patients out to the wolves. I was been over medicated for a non existent cholesterol problem and was put out when I was scheduled for another appointment because I was told I didn’t do a pre registration. I’ve left the state seeking medical attention because I can’t even get a referral for a Mammogram in New Orleans and that’s required for African Americans to receive one. I’ve been seeking medical attention for 2 years now and if anyone else is seeking medical attention this is not the ideal place to receive treatment."

"Top 5 worst clinics in the area. You can sit for hours waiting for you SCHEDULED appt to happen with zero communication from staff. Everybody passes the buck. Doctor wants you to go get a test or see another doctor? Nobody sends in the request. Phone appt with the doctor? Someone in the office erases your phone number and they blame it on you (even though your number has been the same for 20yrs). Phone intake prior to your phone appt with the doctor? They call to do it WHILE you're on the phone with the doctor...45 min later. Don't get me wrong, the doctors there CAN be good...when you actually get to see them. Save yourself the anxiety, stress, amd migraine, and go somewhere else. There are other low income clinics around."

"It may not be a bad place to go but my experience was not good. We went there my daughter & I to get tested for covid. They told us it would take 2 days for the results but it actually took an entire week of us not knowing for it to come back positive. A week later we go back to get retested & was told the same thing 2 days but again an entire week for them to tell me I'm still positive & my daughter was negative. I didn't believe it so we went somewhere else got the results back in less than 2 hours for me to be negative & my daughter positive so I need somebody to make it make sense. Not only that but we ended up giving it to my brother within that first week of waiting then he tested negative after just one week but after our screw up he going to get rested too."

From the appointment process, to greeting, to administering, to follow-up, all pleasant, easy and professional. "Excelth Gentilly is a great health center. The doctors are professional and caring. They listen to the patient, which i really like. They know you by name. The nurses and front desk staff and security are just as amazing. They know my family personally. From Ms. Katy..Ms. Jackie..ms. Tara..ms. Eurika..Rebeka...everyone is kind and always have a great attitude. I would recommend Excelth to any family."
