"If I could give this facility and it's providers zero stars, I would. I have been chronically ill for at least a couple of years, progressively getting worse to now debilitating, with no answers. I have constant abdominal pain and am sick daily. My PCP says I have to see a gastroenterology specialist. Therefore, he referred me to Dr. Nyugen, as they are one of the only gastroenterologists within a 100 mile radius that not only accepts my insurance but is accepting new patients as well. With that said, the referral to this place was some of the only hope I had to hang onto. After receiving my referral, I was asked to go in and sign a medical release form to get my medical records so that they could get me on the schedule as soon as possible. I did so. I have since been waiting on a call from them to schedule an appointment for me to meet with the provider. After a while of waiting and not receiving a call back, I called them to see if I could schedule an appointment yet to be seen. I was then told, without ever even seeing the physician or speaking to them whatsoever, that they will not see me. I was told to go to the Emergency Room (mind you, I have... Just for them to tell me that I have to find and follow up with a gastroenterologist.) Without even speaking to me to ask what my symptoms are, why I need to be seen, or anything, I was straight up rejected and told that they will not see me as a patient of theirs. When I inquired as to why it is they are refusing me care, I was told by the receptionist that she did not know; therefore, she could not give me an answer. On their website, they talk about how referrals are not needed and same day appointments are available, that they strive to provide quality service to those that need. Well, as someone who needs, I find that to be insulting and frankly, untrue. If this is how they care for and help those in need and those sick and needing to be seen, I wonder what kind of service and care they provide their actual, established patients. In an area that's already difficult to find a specialist that accepts Medicaid, this is heartbreaking. What has to be done to receive the healthcare that I need? Between our healthcare system and facilities like this, no wonder so many people are struggling with receiving adequate and good healthcare and are just having to suffer through. I can't help but wonder, though, how they would feel if it were their daughters sick and in need of being seen and being treated this way... Or their mothers, for that matter, because as it so happens, I have two little ones counting on mom to get better."
"Much better than dr Alvarez. Takes time with patients and good bedside manner"
