"I had a pretty traumatic thumb stress injury golfing of all places. I knew it was serious. My personal physician recommended a few doctors at Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic. When I called for an appointment, none were available to see me for a few weeks. Not wanting to wait, I called and made an appointment with a first available hand specialist. This turned out to be Dr. Bliss. I read all great reviews about Dr. Bliss prior to my visit which relieved me. I must say after my initial consultation visit, I was a little skeptical. Dr. Bliss was pretty serious, and rattled off a lot of technical technical terms he tried to explain to my simple mind. He also seemed a little less personal than I was used to with other doctor visits, nevertheless, very professional. A long story short, he did perform ligament surgery on my thumb. Prior to surgery, he told me it would likely be a 3-4 month rehab before my thumb should really be better. After only two months, my thumb feels 95% better with little to no pain with one more full month of rehab and rest to go. I have 100% respect for and appreciation of Dr. Bliss and will recommend any and all who have a hand condition to him. Thank you Dr. Bliss."
