"I've been to the ER there twice. Both times issues. 1st time was the nurse and Dr. He had a street jacket on so was not recognized as a Dr. The nurse was terrible. My granddaughter was being seen. It was early in the COVID epidemic. She literally shoved the long qtip up my granddaughters nose so far I thought went into her brain. That was terrible, traumatic, unnecessary, etc. The second time the nurse that triages you was the best ever. I went there because I had just got my timeline and figured out I had to get a tetanus shot in the next couple of hours. She told me to wait there. That every room was full and it was this Drs 1st night here and he was the only Dr. She went and explained my injury that needed no treatment. I just needed a shot. He looked at the photo of an ice pick through my thumb. Had me unwrap the wound. He seen it was clean and no redness. He had triage re wrap it and give me a tetanus shot. A month later I got a bill from the physician for 600 dollars. I called the company and explained I was never even in a room. I got a shot he ordered and that was it. They said they would check into it and call me back. To their credit I never heard from them again. I did not need the stress. I know 2 other people at different times who almost died because of lack of care and concern and sent home. I gentleman went there 3 or 4 times and was told nothing was wrong and they sent him home. Then he had a stroke. A bad one. He was in the V.A. for several months going through rehabilitation re learning everything from beginning talking, walking, eating, etc. St, Michael's you see these reviews............ DO BETTER!! FIX THE PROBLEM! So you don't have to try and fix the bad outcomes."
"We continue to have bad experiences with the ER here. Nearly every time we go in we sit for hours with no information. Last Sunday night was the last straw for me. The nurse that walked us back was very rude, didn't make eye contact with either one of us, acted like we were ruining her night. She then said "I'll be right back" and never came back. Then the doctor came in, checked both ears, said "Not infected" and that they would run a COVID test. Next thing we know the nurse is coming in with discharge papers. We never saw the doctor again. They didn't test for anything else or give her any antibiotics or try to find out why her ears hurt. The covid test was negative so they just sent her home without anything for her ears. Now she still has a fever and an earache. Do not use this ER."
"Dr Chan and his nursing staff were very professional and caring of my mother. Excellent bedside manor. However the security guard should be fired. He's rude and does not know how to talk to people. He's an ...... they could really do better for their patients than him"
"Several of the staff were very rude and inconsiderate of my fiancé and I. One of the doctors was very discriminating toward my fiancé. He neither answered his questions nor did he acknowledge and or even look at him. It made me very uncomfortable and I wish I had gone elsewhere. My fiancé and I had just lost our child and I was in pain. There are only two people I can recall who were actually decent. One of them was a medical assistant coming onboard. The other was the doctor at the other facility we were sent to. To be quite transparent, everyone was very unkind to us. Almost like they were dead… it was very strange especially, since the name of the Hospital was CHRISTus… do they even understand who Christ is?? I was very disappointed as I had expected better service. God bless Segia Tupu I would love if the staff here were more like the ones in Texarkana. At least they seemed hospitable. But overall my experience with this hospital was really negative. Especially during a time one should be getting more support and comfort even if I am a stranger. Many of the staff did a poor job at that. The first day we came in the lady at the desk was probably one of the nicer staff. And there was a nurse and or assistant that came and she was the most helpful. She was what I had expected everyone else to be. She ensured we were comfortable and had blankets. Everyone else was not very hospitable as I have already explained. I wish I could say otherwise but that is the truth of my experience."
"Tried to park and drop off some food for my sick wife on my break at 6:30 on Wednesday. Was raining. Security was asleep in the emergency lane woke up and told me it was "his spot". When I told him i would be quick he got irate and said he wasn't going to talk about it. I told him I guess he was in the right spot as it looked like he was about to have a heart attack any minute. I apologized for waking him up and found a spot in the rain. Was out in less then 2 minutes. My shoes were wet the rest of the night."
