"We were checking in on a Monday, but our flight was SO early in the day we requested an early check-in when we walked in around 9am. They said they couldn't promise anything since they were fully booked. They took my phone number and said they'd call. We were allowed to leave our backpacks in the luggage drop while we went out to kill time. About an hour or so later we returned and just decided to relax in the lobby. They surprised us with an offer for a room with two queens instead of our king room we had originally booked(for no price difference). We took it in a heartbeat. The room was clean as a whistle and well equipped: mini fridge, microwave, nice size TV, toiletries, hair dryer, etc. MY ISSUES: - The water pressure was awful, and it took a long time to get hot water(maybe because we were on the 3rd floor?) - The beds are hard as can be. After two nights, I was more than happy to say goodbye to the torture devices. - You hear everything around you...TV's and conversations in nearby rooms and the hallway. I can't believe how thin the walls were made here."
"Great hotel, the only problem we had was that we had to clean our own bathroom because it smelled like urine when we arrived. We did mention it to the front desk, but no one came up, so we used our own cleaning supplies, but other than that, the stay was still great. The breakfast menu changed daily, and we had some great choices to choose from after nights of partying. The staff from the kitchen really did a great job and made us feel at home. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet and peaceful at night. We will be returning in the future. I just don't want to have to clean the bathroom in my room again. That's the reason for the number of stars I gave other than that this place was awesome."
"The hotel is fairly new, so the rooms were very clean and shiny. The nightly rate was also decent. You were not greeted when you walked in the door as you are in most other Hilton properties. I found the hotel to be a substantial distance (for me) to the quarter. You’ll do a lot of walking from this hotel location. For example, Jackson Square is .6 miles away. Frenchman Street is nearby but there’s really not much to see or do there. Breakfast was OK. The preformed egg omelette looked pretty dry so I didn’t try them. There should be more breakfast meat options provided. Next time I will stay in the French Quarter."
"The hotel has an excellent location. Since driving and parking is rough around the area, we walked everywhere every day. We had a good overall stay. Things you should consider: -there is no self parking and barely any place to safely leave your car during your stay. We paid for valet parking which costs $40+tax a day. -when traveling with pets, there is a pet relief area where the cars are parked (valet parking), inside the hotel fence. When we checked in I told them I had pets but they didn’t let us know about the pet area, we saw it later on. Just walk all the way down the hallway in front of the elevators and go through the door on the left. -there are various washers/dryers. We didn’t use them, but were told they were complimentary so that’s nice to know just in case. -breakfast had the typical items you’d find in other hilton hotels: eggs, potatoes, waffles, breads/bagel, cereal, hot cereal, yogurt, fruits, cold cereal. It was pretty good. -if there’s lots of noise outside, you can definitely hear it inside your room."
"The hotel has pretty ample street parking that didn’t feel unsafe, was very well lit, and was right up against the hotel. Check in was quick and easy, breakfast options were pretty standard but everything was hot and fresh. Valet is available for $40 a night I believe. I didn’t take photos of the room but the view was pretty nice from the balcony. Close to the French quarter tourist attractions as well as bourbon street!"
