"We have been wanting to try this restaurant and finally today we got to experience it here in New Orleans. We came a few minutes before they opened; however, we were invited inside by one of the staff that told us to wait by the stairs or bar. The place is not huge and the tables are kind of close to each other, but it has enough room for everyone. The servers were very friendly and attentive. They have a wide variety of food to choose from but some of the foods didn’t quite meet our expectations. But all in all it was a great experience."
"Consider using Uber or arriving 30 minutes early to find parking. The market bar looked pretty but wasn't anything special. It took too long for us to get waters and our drink orders in. Then it took too long before we got offered meat. We noticed the servers kept running out of meat before getting to our table. We were halfway through our meal before the mashed potatoes and plantains were brought. The plantains were burnt. Potatoes were okay. All of the beef was beyond rare, which was disappointing. It was not worth the $160ish, but since everyone was friendly, I decided not to complain."
"We were treating my sister to this new experience that we’ve enjoyed for years. Jeremiah and Johnny and all their team did an amazing job. The Market Table has an outstanding selection of meats cheeses salads and veggies. Butternut squash soup and black bean stew was available. The star of the show is always the parade of Gauchos with meat skewers. All the meats were seasoned well. My favorites were beef ribs spicy sausage pork garlic beef and ribeye. We will definitely continue going and I think my sister is a new fan too."
"We (4 of us) went on Thanksgiving. Lots of meats. A couple of the meats were above average. The rest were average or below average. There was an area for butternut squash soup, dressing, and sweet potatoes (self-service). Another area for meats, cheeses, dips, and salads also self-service). We paid over $300 for food + tea + Sprite + coffee + tax. Then we paid tip + $15 for valet parking + valet tip. Last time I'll go there. Definitely NOT worth the price."
"We went to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. The parking, horrible.. until we googled where to park and it gave us info to a parking garage at a hotel.. so we got valet parking and walked through the hotel.. it was a very nice hotel though.. we’ve already made plans to stay there.. the restaurant was packed. No one greeted us when we walked in.. I had made reservations, so that made our wait much less than other people. The place was clean. The workers were friendly. Our server was also excellent. But he just seemed so overwhelmed with everything that he had to do. He explained how everything went with the menu and the cards to let them know if you wanted more meat or not.. the meats were very good. My husband and daughter enjoyed the salad bar, which is all we should have gotten because they didn’t enjoy a lot of the meats. For what we ate, it wasn’t worth what we paid. We did get the cheese bread, which was awesome. No refills on sodas. We ordered tea and it was never brought to our table. We had a side of what looked like French fries, but was just too hard to even chew. It is what it is."
