"I didn't know that I was missing out on so much care, craftsmanship, & professionalism until I experienced what a master Barber named Cal was able to do with my hair. This is not a cut, it's an experience. Treat yourself to a Cal experience when you're ready to look & feel your best."

"I have been ordering hair from Lace Xclusive since 2013. While their hair is the best I have used over the years, the customer service or lack there of, is extremely disappointing. So I do not recommend you order from them if you want reliable communication and updates about your order. Over the years, I noticed the lack of customer service but hoped it would get better. This last encounter, I made an order in July and needed my hair by August 18th at the latest. After paying for my order and frequently checking on it, I noticed that while my payment was received my order status continued to say processing. I didn't receive any communication from the business on why it was still processing so I decided to give them a call. Upon calling, I was transferred 4 times, and the staff was rude when speaking to me. When she did pull up my order, she said that there was a note on my order that my address needed to be confirmed. If that was the case, why wasn't there any communication sent out to do so instead of me calling? I gave her my address again and she said she would mark it that it was confirmed. I explained that this order shouldn't have been delayed for so long according to their processing timeline. I called AFTER the give 7-10 for processing time stated. I asked if there was anything I can do like pay extra for quicker shipping, since now, I didn't believe my order would arrive on time. They instructed me that it would be shipped by Friday, which was 2 days later since this was a Wednesday I was talking to them. I still pushed for quicker shipping because I needed the package by the next Thursday. The rude representative went on to say, that the earliest they could ship would be either Thursday or Friday and that the post office works on the weekend, so I should still get it. She also said that, the processing time wasn't long and that it would have still been sent out on Friday. This showed me that they lacked accountability for this entire issue. If I would have never called to inquire about my order, who knows when they would have reached out! After this conversation, a label and tracking number was created later that Wednesday night. I waited for updates about the package being shipped but that update did not come on Friday like the company said. Instead I recieved an update on the following Tuesday (Today at 12:51pm) that the USPS is now in possession of my package and it is STILL in New Orleans. So not only did they drag out their processing on the order, they also did not ship on the Friday like they said they would during our phone conversation. This will be my last order."
"Let me first start off by saying, I have went to this shop now 3 times. The first two times went well but the last time was it for me. I used to get my braids done here, and the braider did a very good job so I went back this last time thinking she would be there. Unfortunately I wasn’t told there wasn’t a braider there anymore until after I set in the chair. Apparently I wasn’t informed there wasn’t a braider on hand before my appointment, due to them not wanting to lose a customer. Although the woman that did my medium knotless braids was a great person and very sweet and understanding it took over 9 hours to finish a 4-5 hour job. And on top of that the receptionist didn’t understand that since I paid a deposit I should only have to owe the remaining balance. So I ended up paying full price on top of my deposit but luckily the manager fixed it this time (this was the second time it happened to me there). Not sure what’s going on but I normally like this place. I think some things need to be fixed here and there and the shop would be ok."
"I waited a week to write this review because I was, initially, pleased with my hair after I left the salon. However, the price for the service I received, the overall experience at the salon, and my current dissatisfaction with my hair has inspired me to write this review. My grievances will be listed in chronological order: 1. I got a closure sew in for $225, which is the most I have ever paid for this service. I decided to make an appointment and pay the amount because the numerous positive reviews convinced me that I would get one of the best sew ins money could buy. 2. My appointment was for 2pm. Since I was a new client, I decided to get there a bit early. Once I filled out the paperwork and paid (before the services were rendered, mind you), it was 2 o'clock on the dot. I was then made to wait for over two hours while my hairdresser completed another client's sew in! Over two hours! Then when I was finally in her seat, it took her an additional two hours just to corn row my hair. When all was said and done, I left the salon at 9:30pm! When I made the appointment it said the service should have only taken four hours, so I made plans that night, thinking I would get out at 7pm at the latest. I had to end up cancelling my plans because I was basically in the salon the entire day. 3. The hypocrisy of the salon when it comes to the clients. When making my appointment I read the rules of the salon, which included rules like being over twenty minutes late to your appointment would result in a $50 fine or no children in the salon unless they are being serviced. My hairdresser was over two hours late for my appointment and I was never offered any discounts or coupons on my service! My hairdresser also had her son in the salon who screamed, threw tantrums, and generally took a lot of her attention away from providing me with a service I paid $225 for. 4. Yes, my experience at the salon sucked, but when my hair was finished I was really feeling it. Though I was annoyed, I chalked it up to an off day and went on with my cute new sew in. That was until I noticed tied thread that had loosened in several spots throughout my head. When combing my hair I am snagging thread intertwined with my hair. There is also a piece of track that is sewn too loosely to my braids and I am able to pick it up off of my head! My hairdresser, Jasmine, was really nice, but my experience and hair are both awful. Something has to give, I should not be paying $225 to wait over two hours on my hairdresser, then sit in the salon for over seven hours, compete for her attention with her son, and leave with a sub par sew in. 1/10 would not do again!"
