Reviews
"I have always had a good experience in the past, but this time the braids did not last more than two weeks and they started slipping out. I feel like I wasted money. I have worn braids for a long time and have never experienced this before. I was very disappointed."
"They had a terrible attitude when I asked them to loosen three braids that were too tight and when I asked them not to comb through my kinky, natural hair with their tiny comb. Eight weeks later I'm taking the braids down and I cannot believe the amount of dreaded, matted hair I'm having to cut out. Spend your dollars elsewhere."
"I received Senegalese twists about a month ago at Sisters. It took about 9 hours, and I was pretty much satisfied with the finished product; however, I noticed they were a little tight. I purchased braid spray to loosen them up, and I thought nothing of the tight braiding. Then, a couple at the back began falling out, and I noticed that, with a couple of them, my natural hair had also been pulled out. Never in ALL my years of getting my hair braided or twisted has this ever happened to me. I will not be going back nor will I be referring anyone to them."
"My first visit to Sisters African Hair braiding was a little under a year ago. When one of the ladies started on my hair she stopped and asked me if i wanted her to stop because i didn't seem comfortable and proceeded to tell me there were other people who were dying to get in the chair. I was apprehensive because it was my first visit as i am with every new shop i go to. The final product was wonderful, I loved my senegalese twists. Recently I've decided to try marley/havanna twists. I called and was told they did the style the price amount of time it would take and an appointment. I arrive for my appointment on time and was told they did not do that style. I said well that's fine i would take senegalese twists since i needed my hair done and had prepared for that appointment as it was my only free day for a few weeks. Well, after another lady walked in someone began working on her at the time i was scheduled for, im pretty sure they double booked heads and didnt want to admit to the fact.. I was confused because even if there was a miscommunication in style, i still had a scheduled appointment. It wasnt until hours later i was told they would not get to me. I sat there for hours no one said they would not see me or asked if i wanted to reschedule my appointment. Im still confused as to how i have the phone call in my log and gave my name and phone number no one remembers my appointment. I would have been more than understanding if it was said they forgot to write down my information or they simply forgot but they just talked around me in their native language and offered no solution. I was disgusted by the treatment since that was not my first visit there, great product but attitude and amnesia is a risk you'd have to take."
