"I went here twice. I had been natural for a little over two years and I decided to get a silk press. My hair came out beautiful and I loved it. I was charged $75. I thought that was a little high for a silk press, but I didn’t mind because it was so pretty. My hair lasted for about a week and a half. When I called to set up my next appointment, it seemed as though she didn’t even want to schedule me in. The next appointment I had, when I arrived, she told me that she had to take (what I believe to be were her niece and nephew) to the airport in New Orleans, so we had to reschedule. No problem; I understand that some things happen that are out of our control. I just wish that she would’ve been professional enough to let me know ahead of time before I drove all the way across town. On the next appointment my hair came out beautifully again, but she charged me $85 this time. This was unbelievable. First, the price wasn’t consistent with what she charged me the first time for the same exact service. Second, I felt like I should’ve been given a discount since she inconvenienced me the appointment prior to this one. Also, my hair did not make it to the end of the day. Almost two hours after I walked out of her shop, my hair went POOF!!! After that, I never went back and I now have someone that can give me a silk press that will last 4-6 weeks for half the price."
