"We had a great experience with NOLA rent a car. At first I was confused (I reserved on Priceline and was told my reservation was with Economy, but there’s no Economy at the main rental office), but I gave them a call and they sent someone over real quick to pick us up. They charged no fee for an extra driver and only put a $250 hold on our car. They took our car insurance instead of pressuring us to buy insurance through them, and overall it was just a laid back, lovely experience that was cheaper than our typical car rental with much lower pressure. The car had a few small dings, but who cares with customer service like that!"
"Rented a car from here because it was $150 cheaper than ANYWHERE else. Arrived and the staff was super friendly and the shuttle to pick up the car was quick. When we received the car, it was really dirty inside. The seats needed to be cleaned and the car just looked very well used. BUT, the car ran great and the AC worked and thats all we needed really. Beggars can't be choosers. The outside of the car was a bit dinged up, but I didn't rent it to impress the ladies of Louisiana. Overall, I would probably rent from them again because of the amount of money we saved but would probably bring a lot of Clorox wipes to wipe the car down and a sheet or something to sit on."
"My name is Sarah, and I rented a vehicle from Economy Rent a Car, your company, on 22-25 JAN through Hotwire. When I received the vehicle, I examined the outside of the and noted some scratches and took pictures of the damage. Then I entered the vehicle to find the driver side door panel on the floor of the vehicle detached from the vehicle. I went back to the office to report the damage and was informed that they were aware of the problem, and I should not have any problems from the issue. Departing the facility at approximately 1730 (5:30pm) and approximately 1/2 mile down the road the "Warning Malfunction" "See Owner's Manual" like came on. I pulled into the nearest gas station and called Economy and they tried contacting the NOLA office, which was closed. The Economy rep said he was not familiar with the situation and was unable to tell me if it was safe the drive the vehicle. He suggested that I return the vehicle. I informed him that I lived approximately 2hrs drive from New Orleans and was not spending the night in New Orleans to go back to the office. I asked if there was another Economy rental place I may go to to exchange this vehicle, he said no I had to take the vehicle back to NOLA. I have attached several photos of the vehicle damages that made the questionable as to my safety and definitely afford me a full refund of $135.62. The photos include detached floor panel, detaching driver's door handle, detached rear window panel, detached door rubber on both read doors, and Warning Malfunction for as stated before."
"If I could they would have 0 stars. I rented a car via Priceline(will never do again) for Economy car rental. After traveling all day and half of the morning. All my child and I wanted to do was bath, see our family eat seafood and relax. That didn’t happen. My child and I get to Economy/Nola car rental after catching the shuttle and then having to call economy/Nola car for their shuttle to then pick us up. Get there and customer service is horrible. Waited for about 30 minutes before being helped, I wished I would’ve followed my first mind and walked out. The girl(clerk) is finally ready to assist me with her nasty attitude. She take everything, called my insurance company like she didn’t have my insurance card in hand. Finally, she give me the keys and contract. My child and I do a walk around, load the luggage and get in the car and pull backed up and the brakes were grinding. I immediately pull forward and go back inside. I tell her she give me a different car. I do the walk around and we leave as I approach the light on Airline the brakes are grinding on this car. I immediately turned around as soon as I could and went back. I wasn’t gone 10 minutes. I go back inside the girl isn’t at the desk so we’re standing there waiting for about 10-15 minutes before she finally come back inside. She help a gentleman that had came in behind us. She did his return and I told her the brakes were bad on that vehicle as well as I didn’t feel safe to continue doing business with them because their vehicles are unsafe, and I didn’t care to give another vehicle a try. I’m not driving a car with any issues by myself but most definitely not with my child/children, not gone happen. I didn’t think her attitude could get any nastier but it did. She handy me my printout and a card and told me I had to call corporate. Corporate don’t have a number, you have to email them. I emailed them they didn’t get back with me so I called Priceline who had to open a claim/investigation and never heard from them again. I called my credit card and explained to them what had transpired and provided them with all the videos, voice recording, the rental contract with economy and with the new rental agreement(providing the girl is a lair)The girl told my credit card company that I kept the car for hours(lie number 1) and also told them that nothing was wrong with the vehicles(lie number 2). I would have love to save some extra coins(their rentals were much cheaper) because I ended up spending an extra $200 at rental counter at the airport but I’m not willing to risk our life to save a dime. This company cut corners and Priceline and others should really check into places like this. This is a lesson learn to do my research on company’s before I rent with them and not to do business through Priceline anymore. I had to get an attorney which is costing me more coins. Don’t even bother. My family and friends back home had never rented from economy so I didn’t have any idea but when I told them it was Nola/Economy everyone said the same except one person, that’s sad. I just left home a few days ago and rented from the rental counter at the airport and everything went smooth as usual. I wish I could enclose the voice recording of the experience but hey, karma is a bad(shout yo mouth) And to the girl behind the counter if she’s still there. Treat people with respect and like you would want to be treated because everyone is not going to be exhausted and nice. Take up customer service love. If you need holla at me I teach classes on customer service in the beauty industry but you can apply it anywhere. It’s really common sense, though."
