Reviews of San Lorenzo at Hotel Saint Vincent
"We ate and had a drink in the Paradise Lounge. Gorgeous atmosphere. The wagyu burger was fantastic. The server, though, took our order. and never returned except to refill water after I flagged her down. There were only three parties eating, so she should have been more attentive but was sitting down at the bar and not at all paying attention to her tables. Also, she didn't tell us that the truffle fries cost more. The paloma cocktail was really bad, way too sweet. The bartender was very kind and swapped it for a margarita, which also wasn't great. I was surprised at the service and quality of cocktails considering the prices and it being a new place. Also, it's painful to spend $80+ for bad drinks and poor service, even if the atmosphere is perfect."
"This will be forevermore one of the best meals of my life!! The saffron rice and prawns is sublime! The Italian margarita is deliciously decadent! The table bread to die for! The arancini hors d’oeuvres are melt in your mouth little bites of heaven! Our waiter, Sahand, originally from the mid- west, is a genuinely kind , caring person. He made our evening all that more memorable with his perfectly balanced attentiveness. If you can, request him as your server! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
"The atmosphere here is BEAUTIFUL! I came here with a bachelorette group spontaneously for drinks and was shocked to see no one there (they just opened) so we were able to be sat right at the bar. It was perfect! The bride wanted to go here because it's Instagrammable and so classy. The bartenders were great and knew how to mix a cocktail. The prices were expected and average! We had a group so I put almost everything on one card. Two girls who got expresso martinis were on their own tab and paid and closed out - yet, I was still charged for them! Since it was a big group I didn't think to double-check the tab so I gave my card without looking at it. When I went to send the picture of the bill to the group, I noticed we were double-checked for the espresso martinis that were already paid for. I called management right away and let them know - they said they would refund me and it might take a few days - yet I never received the almost $40. Double check your tab before paying - especially with a group. I understand accidents happen, but if a manager says she will refund you - normally they do!"
"I visited San Lorenzo for the Easter Brunch. Prix Fixe was the only option and it included 3 course plus dessert. The entire experience was a disappointment and our server didn’t do anything to resolve our issues. We each started with the seafood salad. The description stated that scallops would be included. Welp, neither of us had scallops. We told the server and she blew it off. 2nd course, one guest had the quiche and the other the crab toast. We both enjoyed them, so no concerns. 3rd course, one guest had the prime rib (just okay) and the other had the buttermilk fried chicken. The chicken was the most awful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. When we cut it open, there was no meat inside. It was an empty cavity. Again, we told the server and she did nothing. My problem with this entire experience is that it was prepaid to include a service charge. I get that, BUT it shouldn’t be an excuse to not provide good service and to completely ignore the customers concerns. I was hoping to one day try this place for dinner, but will pass. San Lorenzo will never get anymore of my money."
