"Horrible. Don’t rent here. This doesn’t allow me to say all I want to -Kristi or your manager please Get in touch with me HORRIBLE Would give this a negative 10 if I could. Case Id 61011508 Exhange approved for Gasoline vehicle I spent two hours at the Alexandria airport Louisiana trying to rectify an issue I am having. It is still not resolved as of this evening. I rented my CX-9 -paid for an upgrade, left the parking garage in New Orleans Louisiana, and drove about halfway to Alexandria Louisiana when making a pitstop for a bathroom and food break when I realized as I pulled the key fob out of the cupholder half of it was missing. I was unable to lock or unlock the doors as even the valet key piece was broken off. I have valuables in the car as I work in the technology business with laptops and iPads. I proceeded to drive to my hotel location in Alexandria Louisiana. I stopped at the Alexandria international airport AEX, When I walked up to the agent behind the counter, a very young contentious and smug young lady was behind the counter, who was argumentative, refused to give me her name as company policy was they do not give out their names. I have been renting with Avis for years as I am a president club member. She advised there’s nothing she could do to help me with my issue as the problem has nothing to do with the functionality of the car. It is a big issue if you cannot access your car and secure your belongings. She said I have to call the corporate phone number and have customer service start a car exchange. I proceeded to do so, and was recognized and greeted by the representative wonderfully on the phone for being a president club member, and they very quickly resolved the issue by creating a car exchange for me at that airport. The agent told me all I had to do was walk up to the counter and show the agent the text message showing the exchange has been approved. The agent still refusing to give her name, advised there’s nothing she can do until her manager advises her to go ahead with the exchange. She also stated, by the way, the only car you can have is a Tesla for a one-way rental back to New Orleans. My client is over 55 miles each way. Where there are no chargers for over 50 miles in each direction. I know this as a coworker of mine a few weeks back had an electric car and was unable to charge the car in time and the car died on him. There is one supercharger in Alexandria, Louisiana, and the next closest one is 52 miles away. my client is one hour each way every day for five days. When I advised the representative, who still remains unnamed, that this is not possible, as I would not be able to ever charge this car, I need a gas vehicle. She still claimed she was waiting for her manager to call me back regarding the already approved by roadside assistance and customer service at the corporate phone number that I had called. When I asked how long it would be before she would hear from her manager, she very smugly said I don’t know I’m here till 10 PM. Not taking into concern a customers needs and concerns. I pleaded with her and advised her I cannot have an electric car for this location, although the car was quite nice, it just would not be practical and nowhere to charge, and I could be stranded in an hour each way back and forth from the location I am working at. She kept emphatically stating that the only car I could have. I asked how we could resolve this as at this point after traveling for 12 hours to get to this location she still kept telling me we’re waiting to hear from her manager and advised me to call customer service again. But it still didn’t matter she needed the approval from her manager, who was named Kristi. I placed another call and waited on hold and spoke to customer service at the corporate phone number, and spoke to a woman named Ilani, who is very helpful, and she got me a case number to reflect a gas vehicle has been approved for that location, who has over 40 to 50 cars on the lot, to drive one way back to New Orleans 12/8 her name is Saylor. RUN from this location."
"I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Kristi at Avis at the Alexandria, LA airport. Kristi was rude, sarcastic, argumentative, unwilling to listen to my concerns, and outright disrespectful. She intentionally gave me wrong information when I tried to exchange my vehicle due to a maintenance issue and refused to even attempt to help me. If traveling to Alexandria, avoid Avis to avoid the hassle of rude customer service."
"I rented a vehicle for work purposes from the Alexandria airport Avis. I specifically reserved a truck for work purposes. They told me they did not have a truck because they didn’t have anyone to clean a truck. Instead, the only vehicle they would give me was a Nissan Rogue. While driving the vehicle to my hotel, the air conditioning was making terrible noises and not putting out cold air. I was forced to drive and work all day Tuesday with no air conditioning. I returned the vehicle to the airport Avis location and explained the vehicle was not working properly. The same female employee that refused to provide the correct rental the previous evening, again refused to help. She would not exchange the defective vehicle for a replacement vehicle with air conditioning that worked. I was refused assistance. She claimed she would get in trouble with her boss. I then rented a vehicle from National/Enterprise next door and returned the Avis vehicle. Again, the female employee refused to help and would not refund my money for the rental. This was a corporate rental and my company will be notified about this terrible experience."
"The clerk rented me a wrecked car and when I asked if the damage was reported in they're system she stated yes. I made videos and too pictures anyway and come to find out upon returning the car, the damage wasn't reported. Glad I have pics and videos because that would've been on me."
