"Do Not shop At PLATINUM MOTORS in LEESVILLE, LA People are doing all sorts of stuff nowadays. 12/13/2023 Buyer Beware!!! Shady Salesman, Sam I purchased an 2019 Audi A3 on Tuesday 12/12/2023. Test drove it on Monday 12/11/2023. Sam was nice polite & pleasant until there was an issue!! Check in hand for the full amount on Tuesday & drove home. While driving back to Lafayette(over 2 hrs drive)I noticed a vibration. I called Sam, the owner & explained. He said just come back when I have time & whatever the issue was he would take care of it. He was adamant it was the tire balancing as he previously stated he had put 2 new front tires. I returned on Wednesday (12/13/2023) afternoon & was directed to a tireshop about 1 block away (Tire Max)from sales lot. I arrived at 4:50pm as I was told I needed to get there before 5pm. Guy looked at car & said I needed brakes & rotors, Sam had told him he would take care of whatever the issue was. But I watched tire guy walk around the side of the building out of sight as he made a call to who I guess was Sam. He then directed me to talk to Dam so I called. Sam said brakes & rotors are wear & tear parts & he wasn't going to pay for it. He then said he would buy the b&r & I could find someone to put them on...NEGATIVE!!! I drove there& after several mins of debating the issue with him talking to me in an elevated tone, I asked Sam what was really the issue with the car. SAM basically said the tire guy(he sent me to at Tire Max) was an idiot & did not know what he was talking about & only wanted to make money. This the Sam guy who put 2 new tires on the car before I ever laid eyes on it. Keep in mind I saw the front rotors after the tires were removed & and they were really bad w front brakes were worn.But there was no grabbing when I drove the car just a heavy vibration starting at 40/50mph& it increased as I Increased speed. So after debating he agreed to have his mechanic ck it the next morning but said if that mechanic also said b&r he was not paying. I left! Went straight to Navy Federal, requested stop payment on the $19,420 check which they were eager to help & got right on it. I sat & called my other bank to stop payment on 2checks I wrote $570 car balance & $2180 for ttl. It was well after 6pm by then, so I got a hotel, called my daughter to come pick me up in the morning, cleaned out my stuff, drove car to his lot arriving at 0845 on Thursday, called for a police stand by assist & dropped his car to him(made a video to show the car was not damaged in any way by me). It was very evident that something was very wrong with the front end which he refused to admit. This man yelled at me, refused to drive it on the highway to get over 40/50mph & treated me horribly after receiving my money!!! He did drive it around the corner about a quarter of a mile & insisted the tires needed balancing. My feelings are bruised. My trust & faith in folks has been challenged once again. But with the grace of God, I arise victorious. I have my eyes on a 2024 Trailblazer. Undecided right now has I am still emotional from this ordeal. I will be posting everywhere & doing a Google rating & comment. So yeah please share!!! SHARE SHARE SHARE!!! I feel bad that he has done or will do this to others. Buyer Beware"
