"The rabbit and sausage jambalaya was really good. The gumbo was also tasty though the broth was more thin than I was expecting. The bowl sized portions are a good size since they are filling. Service is quick and nice."
"I had a wonderful time at Coop’s Place, a cozy and authentic Cajun restaurant in the French Quarter. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious and satisfying. I ordered the rabbit and sausage jambalaya and gumbo. Both of them were flavorful and well-prepared, but my favorite was the jambalaya, which had a nice smoky taste from the tasso. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Coop's Place gives you the best experience of New Orleans cuisine and culture."
"We were yearning for some nice fried chicken and we are happy our journey led us to Coops Place. They have got some really great Cajun Fried Chicken served with awesome Coleslaw and Rabbit Sausage Jambalaya. We also had a cup of their Seafood Gumbo. My wife loved it. I liked it but I thought there were better ones in the city. Overall a great Creole restaurant!!!"
"6 stars needed.... If you are visiting New Orleans and have seen many lists of the best restaurants this is always in there for several very good reasons. First, the service is exceptional. Once you show you ID - at 46 - you're in. Drinks straight away, and Murr, my server, was off the chart friendly...and just excellent. Second, food. I went for the Coops platter- you get chicken, slaw and jambalaya. Chicken is outrageous as is most in NOLA. The slaw was superb and the jambalaya next level good. I also had a serving of fried okra with a mustard sauce - hot the spot. Other specials were lamb chops, while the pasta cajun style seemed popular. Drinks were equally enjoyable and well priced. If your seeking an evening meal to represent NOLA, this is a sterling choice. My bill was higher with many drinks."
"This was the first place we ate at when we got to New Orleans and it was amazing. We got to try several traditional plates typically eaten in New Orleans so it was a very exciting experience for us. The bar/restaurant is kind of dark but very welcoming. The staff was very informative about the specials available that day. We got some beers and enjoyed our food, great spot to eat at if you’re in the area."
