"The vibe was super laid back at Mahoney's. The service was also fine. I ordered the Low Country Shrimp N' Grits (without bacon) which was pretty good and well-portioned. I also ordered the fried bread pudding (to-go). When I got home, I was shocked to see how tiny it was. For $9, I did NOT expect four bite-sized pieces! Although good in taste, I was disappointed in the super small serving size. However, my biggest gripe was how filthy the ceiling fans were. They are directly above the tables (they weren't turned on during our visit). Had I noticed prior to ordering my food, I probably would have turned around and walked out."
"Food is amazing! Visited from Dallas and this place did not disappoint. You have to stop here at least once. Favorite plate was the loaded sunrise fries has two eggs on top"
"We absolutely love coming to Mahoney's. Anytime we are near New Orleans we make the drive to grab lunch. Always start with the onion rings and gumbo as they are always spot on. The shrimp poboy is a must as well. Our waitress, Ann Marie took great care of us. We look forward to the next visit!"
"Before I left New Orleans, I wanted a Po-boy. I grew up in Louisiana and am very familiar with Po-boys, but this was my first time at Mahony's Po-boys & Seafood. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, and it gets packed really fast. Luckily, I was able to snag a seat outside and ordered the Fried Pickles, a fully-dressed Fried Shrimp Po-boy, and a Bloody Mary. Let me tell you, the Fried Pickles ALMOST stole the show because they were really good, but my Po-boy delivered because the bread was everything it needed to be and more. In my opinion, the bread is what makes or breaks a Po-boy, and I was happy. Although they offer an array of other foods and drinks, I went with a purpose and wasn't getting sidetracked by their other food choices."
"We came here on a food tour and it was so good we had to come back for a full meal. Amazing, authentic po-boys. We had the roast beef and the short ribs and they were both delicious. Laid-back friendly atmosphere, great drinks and great prices. Definitely not to be missed!"
